I tested positive three weeks ago and have just been released from quarantine. Wife is still quarantined till 8-16. I felt lousy, but I didn’t have many of the classic symptoms. I had fever, headache, dizziness and stomach upset. Was shocked I got it because I work from home and wear a mask when I did go out. Just glad I wasn’t around any of my older friends or my grandkids.

Just read this on Yahoo Sports.
With the Pioneer League also calling it quits, less than 50 percent of FCS teams are still committed to a fall season, so the FCS Playoffs, per NCAA rules, must be canceled.
I think that lack of playoffs is what pushed JMU to pull the plug.

Wyoming was to play Big Sky member Weber State Sept. 5th. Why don’t we give them their return game this year and try to slide Wake into that spot in 2022.

Overall though he says the regular flu is much worse. He is 50ish with no real underlying health issues.

We are gonna get screwed. Nobody within a bus ride wants to play us. ECU makes perfect sense. Do all of the NC ACC schools have national championship aspirations OT something?

Re: Schedule
All the more reason we should have a playoff. If we are being locked out of a good schedule due to others not wanting to play us then we should not be penalized.
If all we play is SB and G5 schools then we have a weak SOS. With close to 130 FBS schools and around 260 DI schools we can't play everyone round-robin. All the Prig 5 schools have to do is not schedule us and they remove one more school from the Great 5 schools they have to worry about competing with. That sort of restraint of trade should be illegal and the best manner to enforce it would be to have a playoff that includes at least the conference champions. I know this post is a bit off topic but damn our own success hurts the program and that is not right.

Can you link me to something showing we are receiving payment for this years game being moved? Not arguing with you i just haven’t seen it yet.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 1:41 pmGillin is doing the exact opposite of letting the P5 ADs troll him. I saw Charlie Cobb with a full throated declaration that they expect cancellation fees down at Georgia State, and Gillin should have done the same thing. And i would bet my house Wake isn’t giving us a dollar for this, it would have been mentioned in App’s press release if they did.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 10:43 amNot true at all, but ok. App just got played, screwed over and out negotiated by a mediocre ACC team.
This is just part 1 of what I was talking about with fans being upset about the scheduling news to come..

Re: Schedule
That was not what i was saying. I was just glad to see Charlie put out a statement saying if you were trying to move your game with GAST this year then you should expect to pay the cancellation fee. I’m all in on Doug, i just don’t wanna see us get pushed around when we really are hurting for the money. I can fully acknowledge we’ll never be negotiating with those schools from a position of strength either.mike87 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 12:31 pmSurely you aren't suggestion that Charlie Cobb's record of scheduling ranks him higher than Gillin.
