Re: Schedule
I still hate the Blundering Turds from my school days!!! Probably more so than any school located in any town not called Statesboro or Chapel Hill.

Re: Schedule
Yet another thing I can bond over with you all my fellow black and gold G5 friends.
They were a rival of ours both in the MAC and then CUSA. they owned us 3-0 in the MAC days but we got our revenge by going 8-0 in CUSA and then the cherry on top in last year's bowl.
I don't really hate them as much as I used to though seeing how a passionate and established fan base like their has sort of hit a ceiling with their program due to the economics of their city and school.

Re: Schedule
I believe that's correct because of Governor Cooper's order as far as a home game but we can play outside of NC.

Re: Schedule
Only other options I see to get a 12th game is 9/5 or 10/3. 10/3 would be tough cause we’d have a Wednesday night game the next week. If 12 is a no go, then congrats to Doug Gillin for what I’d rate a B+ given the options!

Re: Schedule
Good game to get to me.
Would be nice to get an away game the first weekend. But probably doubtful.

Not that I’m unappreciative that we actually HAVE a game to play now... but Marshall? Meh...

Re: Schedule
Doubt we will schedule anything on 10-3 unless some things get moved around big time. At UL on 10-7 and that’s the most important game on our schedule. A 9-5 game against a P5 would be nice. Would liked to have had Marshall at home but glad to have it anywhere. Thanks for all your hard work DG!

Re: Schedule
I thought I had read that we already had a home and home series planned with Marshall in the next few years. Did we re-work a deal that was already planned...or did I just imagine that we had them on a future schedule.
P.S. I would still like for us to be in a conference with them again. That was a great rivalry back in the early to mid 80's. I still remember the first time the "Herd" rolled into Boone my first year on campus. I can't forget them knocking off our #1 seeded Mountaineers in 1987 after we had defeated Georgia Southern the previous week on a snowy Boone day. That loss put the "Herd" in the National Championship game in Pocatello, Idaho where they lost to the #2 seed Northeast Louisiana (now Louisiana-Monroe) 43-42. Lots of Idaho Potatoes were left on the turf in Boone after our loss to Marshall.

Re: Schedule
Great to schedule another home and home with Marsha......green is a nasty color for a football uniform.
