Fills out the 6 game home schedule. Not a ton of options at this point. I'm not disappointed. Hopefully, we'll get a couple good road games.

It is what it is but it hurts to see our conference brothers ink some big names. I know DG did all he could and I know he has to be frustrated.

Re: App versus Campbell- 9/26
It is truly the tough part of being a top 25 caliber team. They want G5 games they feel they can win. The only P5 teams who I think would play us are top 10 teams who don't see us as a threat or a P5 team who has no other option. I would imagine UCF, Cincy, and Memphis all face the same issue. I would love to get one of them but they know the AAC has the upper hand and they have a couple top 25 caliber teams in their league so they are not in need as much as a CUSA or SBC team is in that regard. This is another reason why I want to be in the AAC so badly.

Re: App versus Campbell- 9/26
This is what comes from being a top 25 team. Call them growing pains. Like stated earlier mid level P5 teams aren’t going to play us... they have too much to lose. AAC teams don’t want to play a team that could potentially knock them out of their NY6 contention. Only way I see this changing is (1) if we start losing (no one wants that option) (2) keep doing what we are doing... winning, excellent recruiting, expanding facilities and building our brand... this puts us in a good spot when the next round of realignments come (everyone wants this option).
People keep missing the fact too that these are just two games. Call them the replacements for Morgan State and UMass and arguably they are better games. DG might be saving the best for last! Stay optimistic.

hey we ain't going through anything Boise State hasn't. We've done a really incredible job....there's just more opportunities in front of us, some that weren't there before.
So we take what we can can get and win with it. And work for more opportunities. Enjoy the ride we've been on and continue on.

Re: App versus Campbell- 9/26
It’s fine. I’d love to schedule some marquee games, but odds are whatever games we schedule right now won’t actually happen, so no point getting too high or low over it.
We had a good schedule lined up this year. We have some really good schedules set up for the next few years. This one’s just a throwaway unfortunately.

DG has tried everything. Problem is P5's dont want to play us this season. They know there are going to be minimal games. The risk of potentially losing to us is more of a season ending risk than any other year since there will (likely) be less games.
That said, there are still 2 P5's that may work out. I am currently doubting it and expect another regional FCS, but, the possibility is still on the table.

Backed out. News out of Samford is looking like they also may back out of their game with Florida State. Both of those games were slated for Sept 19th.
The other 2 biggies, Clemson & ND, still the 19th open.
Others with the 19th open and seeking a game:
Kansas, Temple, Cincy, ECU. Out of these, I could see the AAC commish himself sending out a “do not play AppState order.”
