I guess Wake's avoiding playing App this year put a fork in their argument of being best in NC. It would have been easy for them to prove their point on the field and not in social media. We know the decision to play App was completely in Wake's hands.......
and they decided not to play.

John Currie, Wake AD, calling Gillin, “this is Wake Forest AD, about our reservation to play App State on Sept 11, I would like to CANCEL our game.” Doug responds, “that is very unfortunate, is there any way we can accommodate your team on another date this season?”
Currie says, “No, I don’t think it is in our best interest to play you this year”
