Is it possible to get this for every game? Last year I saw it a couple times but I love running through it each time I see it.

I was thumbing through this and I see John Law is a defensive grad assistant. Has then been discussed here? Did I miss it? I'm so excited to have him back in the program, one of my favorite Apps of all time!

My tickets used to be near where player families would sit. In one of Law's first games when he made a big play and the announcer said his name for making the play, his mother was soooo excited and not shy...she was fun to watch... :)

A bulk of this team has played in big stadiums with raucous crowds and has played well and won big games. They have also played in virtually empty stadiums (Texas State, South Alabama, etc) and have also played well and won. On the prediction thread a few guys used the term “come out flat”. It’s hard to imagine that being the case for just one team in the first game. Man I would hope they are beyond fired up and ready to roll. I can see some timing issues on longer pass plays and coverage breakdowns for both teams early on but we should be able to run the ball at will.

From what I have heard from a few close to the team, yes. The seniors are true leaders and will have this team fired up and ready to play. Also the fact that these guys would do just about anything for Coach Clark...they are ready. We are ready! Beat the hell out of Charlotte!

Rusty probably, but not flat. It's been a strange off-season but I fully expect Coach Clark will have them ready to go. Dale's defense will be interesting to watch. Concord chewed us up pretty good last year with nearly 300 yards passing and well over 200 on the ground, although I don't think that would have been the case even a few weeks later. This simply can't happen this year. Also, our special teams were instrumental in both of our previous wins. IMHO, we have to hit Reynolds coming off the bus, and all day, and the defense needs to keep them in the 20's or under. Can't imagine the team taking them too lightly after last season, or being intimidated by their enthusiasm. Hit 'em in the mouth and play like it's your last game- because this year, you never know when it will be.

I appreciate that mention is made of the on the "Game Notes" masthead of the North State Conferences championships. For only a select few that is truly written history and not personal memories. It is good to honor that past and those teams were winners as much as we are now and they laid the foundation for the winning tradition that goes back to the 1920s and with the North State Conference the 1930s.

Are we down to one radio affiliate and then one on tape delay? Appstatesports only has 2019-2020 affiliates so the list has not been updated for this year.

It is nice to have a large network and 97.3 covers a ton of area but I am just outside of their range. With everything on TV in one form or another and the internet being available with the game feed the radio network is not really needed for most of the fans but it is nice to have if in a spot without cell coverage.

It's going to be a white-out.

Joking! I figured we didn't have enough disagreement on the board lately so I'd create something. :D

Haven't read through the entire 27 pages but so far, the biggest thing that sticks out is 4 R-Fr. on offense in the 2 deep and 4 Sr.'s across the DL. The 2 Fr. WR's will obviously get some good reps this season with the way we sub but I really hope Clark is able to get the 3 OL players, including (So.) Daley, plenty of snaps this year in case none of the Sr.'s decide to return next season.

Same goes for Casey on ST. If the team can get large enough leads where a possible miss won't hurt the team, I hope Clark lets him kick to get some live action reps before next year, even if it's just XP attempts.

Replacing 4 Sr.'s on the 2-deep across the DL will be a very tall task. Hopefully some of the young guys can step in and make an impact this year so the DL isn't so green in 2021. Hopefully the LBer's continue their excellence as Frizell is the only Sr. in the group.

from the game notes

" Programs in North Carolina have posted an 11-win season at
the FBS level a combined 10 times, and App State accounted for three in its first six FBS seasons."
