It is because they beat a ranked team. It would not shock me if the AP and Coaches polls have us slightly ahead but that is only because many voters slot teams up. I would put them 2-3 spots ahead of us. Louisiana truly deserves to be ranked in the top 20 now but keep in mind that they won with 2 returns for TDs. Ragas was held in check and Lewis did not light them up. If we just clean up special teams and don't let those returns happen then I think we can beat them.

Seeing the push of the SBC this morning is why just beating P5s is a huge thing for the league. Right now the SBC looks to be super close to the AAC. Louisiana is now an even bigger game than ever if both teams are undefeated but we need to worry about Marshall now. They are no joke and the beginning of a pretty tough stretch.

Given their performance yesterday, it's not surprising.

Well deserved. They smoked a ranked Big12 team and we needed 3.75 quarters to take control of a mid level CUSA team.

As of right now they are the class of the Sun Belt. Luckily we control our own destiny.

I’m not sure we’re not facing our toughest FBS schedule yet! 😳

Like you said, luckily we play each other so it will be settled on the field. I am very happy for them though. What the SBC did yesterday is HUGE and really helps our SOS at the end of the year so I was extremely happy watching our league dominate.
