Player that tested positive on Monday was negative on Wednesday.
Seems like a clear as day false positive. Too bad NC does not acknowledge false positives.
Well ... I am confident that if the situation was reversed, UNC would a never canceled due to concerns about the virus.
Never.
Mostly because the Heels don't take no stinkin' tests.

UNCC has 19 OL on their current roster so I dont understand why they would cancel this game if only three OL have the China Virus. I mean their fans jawing last week that they were closing in on Appstate and their program was close to being the same status as Appstate....WRONG. If their current HC were to leave...and he will for a better job their program will suffer a huge let down and a program set back. Wait you dont think them Boys are a little scared to venture down to "The Hill" for fear of getting that ass whooped do you? Remember UNCC we took that trip last season and we came home with....well you know. Then we went to Columbia and .....well you know.

It makes me wonder how much UNC wanted to play this game to begin with. There is a lot more to this story then we will ever know.

This is an updated segment from an article just posted:
The game between the Tar Heels and 49ers isn’t the only one that could possibly be affected by Charlotte’s coronavirus issues. But despite playing the 49ers last week, Appalachian State is still planning on traveling to Huntington, West Virginia, to take on Marshall on Saturday.
“App State director of athletics Doug Gillin and Marshall director of athletics Mike Hamrick have spoken and both feel confident in our testing protocols ahead of Saturday’s game,” Mountaineers spokeaman Joey Jones said. “App State football student-athletes and coaches have been tested twice this week with zero positive results.
“The team will be tested one more time tonight. Per Sun Belt and Conference USA policies, neither team will allow anyone to participate in the game who tests positive for COVID-19 or who is quarantined for contact tracing.”

After their poor performance against The Orange (game was close at half), they need a pick me up... charlotte was the game. Do not believe they would want to cancel

Guys, if you can't hit the right thread(target), then don't shoot at all! The large majority of us are fed up to our ears with this stuff. I'm not a mod, but that's my opinion, anyway. Just follow the dad-blamed rules.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Just wondering if losing their starting QB played any into this?
Charlotte was going to get a much needed check for around 400 thousand dollars...I'm sure this decision was based on tests (or a test) coming back positive.
Maybe they are bummed about not having their QB but that is how things go and they never expected to win. I hope those suggesting the QB injury are joking because we all know that Charlotte is glad to take a loss to get the money and national TV exposure.
Your just going to have to trust me, they don’t have a QB to play on Saturday. They would have to move someone into that position. Now if it was up to me I would have made the move and taken the $400,000.

There times on this site that I swear I'm on the GA. Southern board. Quit the passing contest and keep it to football please. I have definite opinions too, but it doesn't always mean I need to share them. Its not like any of you are going to change each other's minds.

Someone made it sound like they are backing out because their starting QB is out but I'm saying they have a lot more out than just the QB and can't play. They would play if they could but they can't field enough to safely play.

I should have made myself clear. Are they concerned about our possible exposure to Covid. Since posting, I ve seen where the ADs have spoken and are confident to let the game go on.
