Absolutely, plus I want them ranked high when they come to Boone next week so that we will have beating a highly ranked team on our resume. However, at some point we'll lose to them and this might be the year. BUT if we lose to them next week, we'd probably get them again in the championship game again. Hopefully, we'll get those 20 players back active for that game.

Taking joy in the failure of others is a character flaw. Except when it comes to Southern.

Watched the last 4-5 minutes of the game. GASO stopped LL with about 1 1/2 minutes to go. GASO moved down the field , throwing the ball! Very impressive 4 for 4 on the drive for about 50 yards of the drive. If they start throwing they will be very tough to beat. The announcers had just stated that Werts said he was a good passer and wanted to demonstrate it. Looked to me like he did! They were so good that the scored to quickly allowing players to have a chance.

As much as I hate them I want them to be strong. A good rivalry needs both teams to be good.

They have been plenty strong enough for us the last two years. And I don't think they are in the dumps either. They have not done as well as App in the transition but they are playing very competitive ball and have been.

As someone that sat through the misery last year while watching NY6 dreams disappear, I concur that the rivalry is just fine.

We don't need help with UL as we can take care of them on our own. It is actually better for us if they win all of their other games and lose to us, shows what a great team we are. A strong UL helps the Belt which only helps us when we beat them.
