Re: Stink Game
The Conference Title game has been moved up two weeks from Dec 5th to Dec 19th, this could be a good indicator for both LaLa and The Stink games.

Re: Stink Game
Don’t think there is a way to play on that Wed. Has to at least be on the following Saturday. Or Dec 12th.

Re: Stink Game
I am really hoping we are able to re-schedule the game for Saturday the 17th instead of in December if it is an option. We are just now starting our conference schedule and to have all of our "rescheduling dates" filled this early would be a concern.

Re: Stink Game
Is Vegas doing an over/under on the number of games played this year? App and others may come out of this with the 11 games intact but I am beginning to wonder.
I would not be surprised to see some of the confs. that delayed to spring then move to late fall move back to spring or have some sort of mixed fall/winter/spring move yet again.

This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Re: Stink Game
Don't get me wrong, I want to see both games rescheduled if App can't play GS next week. However, GS needs to take precedence over ULLLLLLLL since it's a division game. Plus the rivalry needs to continue the 25+ years of annual meetings. HeLLLLLLLL, App has played the Cajuns more than GS since moving to the Sun Belt.

If we rescheduled the game to the 17th, if I’m not mistaken we play stAte the following Thursday. That would need to be moved as well.

Re: Stink Game
Preferably, we wouldn’t have to play on a short week like that. But technically/officially we could, as the Ark. St. falls in the following week’s regular schedule. I don’t like playing without a full week’s prep, but unfortunately that may be just another hardship of all this crap...appstate24 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 11:19 amIf we rescheduled the game to the 17th, if I’m not mistaken we play stAte the following Thursday. Re: Stink Game
I think I saw where they were going to meet on this yesterday at 1. Don't think there would be an announcement that they are going to play, since it's already on the schedule. So no news is good news?

Re: Stink Game
The fact that we have a number of players (a number that remains unannounced) sidelined by contact tracing until the 14th tells me we'd likely have major contributors who would have missed two weeks of practice and all of the scheme-planning for a road game against our most "bitterly hated" rival. That's a bitter rival that has owned the Apps for two consecutive years. It's also the rival that we have to recruit against. I don't think it's in our interest to play a road game of that importance w/o a full travel roster that's mentally, emotionally and physically prepared to play a "ring" game. Playing on the 14th under present circumstances gives the iggles a tremendous shot of making their run a trifecta. I don't like the odds.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Re: Stink Game
Some of these guys claim to have "inside tracks", I was just wondering if the game was still on. I guess no news means it is. I hope so, curb stomping the 'iggles' would bring some joy to these trying times

Saw that the womens volleyball match at the Stink next weekend was postponed. Anyone know if the football situation is related to this.

On the SB board a GS person mentioned it may be on GS’s end for the cancelation due to their volleyball contact tracing and quarantine.postalapp90 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 4:39 pmSaw that the womens volleyball match at the Stink next weekend was postponed. Re: Stink Game
The problem with having the game as scheduled is the ones in contact tracing quarantine would be back that day. When we had one positive test against Campbell, we had 18 guys out. We now have 19 positive tests... Imagine how many guys are in quarantine until game day.
Regardless if they are contributors, it's simply not safe to have players play literally the day they get out of quarantine. Especially against the GaSo offense where the blockers intentionally dive at knees on every play. That's something you have to prepare extra for on game week.
If we play GaSo next week, it'll have to be on Saturday at the earliest. I simply don't see it happening. It'll likely be moved to later in the season. And that's 100% for the safety of the players.

Re: Stink Game
It would be an unmitigated disaster for App football to play anyone on the 14th!
