Hypothetical....Would you? Game at home 7% or ???

Unread post by spacemonkey » Mon Oct 05, 2020 4:56 pm

If possible...would you be willing to move our home game to Atlanta to play Georgia St. if it meant more fans could attend. I would vote yes for it. Wondered what the rest would think. I think Georgia and Alabama are allowing more fans.

Just a thought....not something I would fight for but I sure would like to see an AppState football game in person.

Would be great to move the Georgia Southern game to Atlanta if more fans were allowed to attend as well.

No way. Too much costs to an already depleted budget. Play at home and endure a limited number of fans. Let our players & Coaches enjoy "THE ROCK" and hopefully, whoever gets to attend will be extra loud!!!

Home field advantage is more than just fans. It's familiarity with routine, the surroundings, 3,333, the weather and the field, itself. Hard pass.

Agreed. Huntington was not a good away destination. Rather not give the team that plays in a former baseball stadium any advantage

All of those plus the budget considerations and the benefit of the Apps sleeping in their own beds on the nights leading up to the game.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

No and everyone in a position to gain access to the game should consider giving those spots to player parents and students. Looking forward to giving those students an opportunity to create those memories which are special.

Other than the final score we really enjoyed the trip to Huntington. Just was a great break to actually sit outside in a stadium and watch our Apps play.

I agree with the others. I would not give up the home game. Giving up a guaranteed home game is just not smart in general and even worse now when the budget is already so tight.

I think Thebatchelor1977 was thinking of the recent Marshall game while he was typing about the stadium in Atlanta.
