Not a fan either. I wish we'd do away with the white helmets altogether. But agree the reveal videos have been sweet this year. The whole "uni reveal" concept is great...although I've heard jokes about a bunch of football fans getting all excited about the sports equivalent of red carpet "what are they wearing" fashion lol. I'm hooked!Tbatchelor1977 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 8:45 pmAgree on this uni combo. Least favorite combination.appchicago wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 8:22 pmI think the uni combo is a little weird, tbh, but I am really loving the ultra-local, mountain-focused feel of the uni reveal videos this year. Half monster movie, half engagement photo shoot.

I think it might look better if all the gold was removed. I have a white block A sticker on my rear window and the gold faded out completely. The black and white look is kind of neat.

Reminds me of my high school practice uniform from the 90’s. At least the track is gone.canes_mj wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 9:17 amNot a fan either. Heard that. And to assume that the defensive scheme won’t change just because the leadership shuffled a week ago is a bit naive, but I know our coaches will have the guys ready. I’m looking forward to controlling both sides of the line on this one.

Re: Arkansas State 10/22
I would like to know why since we supposedly have two great corners that we never get in a receiver‘s face. As soon as the ball is snapped they run backwards and our young safeties act lost sometimes. We may get schooled in our pass defense. I hope not!

The D did a pretty good job of containing an excellent Marshall passing game. I wouldn't mind seeing some more aggressive coverage at times also, but we have been all about "keeping it in front of you" for a long time. We will see what our corners can do against this Arkansas State receivers. I'm really hoping we can get some pressure up front to limit the passing game. That's the piece that was missing against Marshall.

Ark allows over 300 YPG passing. Do we throw over/under 25 times tonight? Open it up some or do we go vanilla due to the time off?

Re: Arkansas State 10/22
If I had to guess (which I do since I have zero inside info), I expect App to work hard to establish the run game. This is based on three factors: 1) App is and always has been a run first offense, 2) As you mentioned, there is a high probability of some rust due to lack of activity, and 3) App will want to control the clock and keep the Arkansas State offense off the field (and our D fresh).
I know everyone wants to see a wide open offense, and I do think we will have to mix up the plays to keep Ark State from stacking the box. If they do commit to stacking the box in order to stop the run, I hope ZT makes them pay by torching those young Red Wolf DBs.

Since very few fans will be in attendance, we could get a bunch of fans to drive up to the stadium and park around the Rock. When the bell tolls for the D on 3rd down, everyone should lay on their horn to help create as much noise as possible.
Might even get our fan base on ESPN's top 10!
