Arkansas State 10/22

The last I heard/read, there were four new COVID cases “connected” to the football team as of last Thursday. I am assuming that with self isolations, quarantines, contact tracing, etc., that IF we get to play next week, it won’t be without roster depletion? And a lot of the guys who could play will not have had much, if any practice? I know Coach had said some guys could start practicing in groups of five last Tuesday, but don’t know the extent of those practices (if they’ve been non-contact, etc.). Seems like they’ve been pretty hush from a football standpoint. Anybody know what’s going on? Thoughts and opinions are welcome.

Pretty sure we haven't had a full team practice since the end of September.

If Ark State happens. From what I've been hearing the football team, soccer team and volleyball team have all been hit hard.

Based on a look at the NEZ live feed camera, the scissor lift used to film practice was fully extended with a camera guy on top leading me to believe that practice was going on. Fingers crossed, I hope that’s right

They have been practicing. Just in small groups. I think they were supposed to be cleared for full team practice today though.

As to the football game on Thursday, did anyone else hear that Ark. St. fired its Defensive Coordinator & reassigned another assistant? This was like, er, yesterday.
From what I saw when they played GaSt., the defensive scheme was not happening. But, there's turmoil in the ranks.

The WSJ quoted Coach Clark as saying that stAte fired two assistant coaches but that he doesn't expect a lot of scheme changes to be put in so quickly as to affect this week's contest. He did indicate that they'd be alert for something new.

I think the uni combo is a little weird, tbh, but I am really loving the ultra-local, mountain-focused feel of the uni reveal videos this year. Half monster movie, half engagement photo shoot.

Agree on this uni combo. Least favorite combination.

May work better if a lot of the players have pink sock/gloves/etc. Figure it’s white helmet to set off the pink ribbon.
