That hasn't been decided yet. Will the Governor's arbitrary and capricious 7% still be in play? Will he decide that 4 1/2% is a better limit? Will he allow 50% attendance? Athletics can't make decisions until the Governor tosses out the next edict or two.zim262 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 7:47 amQuestion: Will tickets for the next home game, if there is one, be allocated to the same group of Yosef members? I'm hoping he can at least raise it to 10% for November. HUGE increase, but an increase

BTK welcome to the ignore club.
Speaking to anyone that way, much less one of the nicest individuals within our fanbase isn't very tolerant, guess that's par for some though.

I got two. I can't figure out where, but I'll pick them up Thursday. I can't go. PM me if you're interested.
Re: Ticket Allocation: App vs Ark St
Rotating tickets is the very logical thing to do. I pose this question to the Yosef Club if this continues into next year will people continue to commit to the Yosef Club and continue to buy season tickets, when only a select few have a chance to go. At some point some people will stop paying for some thing they can not go to. Example you invest 4500.00 dollars a year in the Yosef Club and tickets but get no tickets while only the select few get them. It becomes disappointing. At some point some thing will have to give. There has to be a way to make it fair for every member to go to a game even if it is small donations.DaphneUrquhart wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 8:40 amThat hasn't been decided yet. Re: Ticket Allocation: App vs Ark St
That truly is pathetic....I was under the impression people were stepping up with the Bowl successes and the rankings... Oh well, if the AD doesn't go down the donor list for each game, which I don't believe will happen...I am screwed for the rest of the season....Rick83 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 7:40 amI think the 11K - 12K Yosef Club donor total is from the beginning of time...which is incredibly sad.Gears wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 5:29 amLast year I clearly remember the total Yosef Club members/donors exceeded 11,000. Re: Ticket Allocation: App vs Ark St
Not a popular take here, but I don't give to the Yosef Club for the parking space or the ticket access.
I give for the student athlete. I have no intention or expectation of attending a game this year, but that check to the Yosef Club was an easy choice.
My expectation was to be provided the option to roll tickets over to the next season, the university has met and exceeded that (with any more options).
It's one season, there is a vaccine and treatment options coming, there is no election next year.

Re: Ticket Allocation: App vs Ark St
If you are putting $4500 a year to Yosef you are probably in the group that got 2 tickets. If you are throwing them a $450 bone, you probably aren't. This is a very unique situation and they are doing a pretty dang good job dealing with it. From the Chancellor, her administrative team, Yosef and athletics staff, it's got to be challenging and what I've seen has been very reasonable decision making. Complaining about not getting a ticket is petty when the Athletic staff is facing furloughs and pay cuts. And they are.
Re: Ticket Allocation: App vs Ark St
The reason for my post is there are some who do give in a dual purpose, one to get parking and two to get access to games. And that is what its there for. There are some that donate and do not care, and kudos to them. I totally get that. However, simple fact is it needs to be fair. If you are only giving the tickets to only the high end donors and have no intentions of spreading it out and making it more inclusive that is an interesting take. You are shutting off other donors who would like to attend a game. And may give more money as time goes by.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:45 amNot a popular take here, but I don't give to the Yosef Club for the parking space or the ticket access.

Re: Ticket Allocation: App vs Ark St
ECU just announced more furloughs in the Athletic dept... facing a 25 million budget shortfall. This too will pass and I think the AD is doing the best they can under the circumstances. App State football is a way of life for a lot of folks....We plan EVERYTHING around home games and check the schedule first before committing to anything. It is disappointing to not be able to attend due to a selection process they had no control over... king Roy’s 7% using science and data??? That is what is so frustrating.

Re: Ticket Allocation: App vs Ark St
Not everyone is into sports. If the total alumni base, which living and dead is over 110,000 or more now, had that as the number for giving back to their alma mater for any purpose I would be upset and find it sad. I would like to see the number higher for YC but I also don't fault anyone that only gives to the academic side if that is what moves them. I do fault anyone that does not give something back in some capacity to App (with a few rare cases of severe economic hardship.)Rick83 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 7:40 amI think the 11K - 12K Yosef Club donor total is from the beginning of time...which is incredibly sad.Gears wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 5:29 amLast year I clearly remember the total Yosef Club members/donors exceeded 11,000. That is how it works in normal times. They don't need to amend the system for the once in every fifth generation pandemic.App90 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:59 amThe reason for my post is there are some who do give in a dual purpose, one to get parking and two to get access to games. Is it "fair" to those that gave for years before I was born to give me their tickets (as defined by the priority points system we all signed up for) for the second game of this pandemic season?
This concept of "fair" is problematic in many levels.
I may be overreaching on this specific example, but all too often "Fair" has turned into what benefits me and my set of circumstances I'm currently facing.

Re: Ticket Allocation: App vs Ark St
At that does make me sad, but all we can do is what each of us can do. I have never not given to App since I graduated, but not always to athletics. I will always support my kind and nourishing mother.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 12:02 pmThat isn't occurring either.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 11:55 amNot everyone is into sports. The challenge, for the 2100 who are there, is going to be can we get the APP....STATE... chant going loud enough to be heard on ESPN.
I think we can!
