Our 10 point loss to Marshall was the least margin of victory in their 4 games thus far.

...and we had a TD called back, fumbled out of the end zone from inside their 5 and missed a chip shot field goal.

Interesting observation on your profile. You have been thanked over 400 times, yet only thanked others less than 80. ;)

I'm just more conservative with handing out thanks on here. Everyone doesn't get a trophy. That was an astute observation. I'm always grateful for your keen perception. Nothing gets by you!!

Nope, RichmondApp. Glenn banned the post count comments. Besides, they aren't likes on here, they are thanks.

Things that don’t matter:

How much you lose by

And

The # of anything on a message board

How much a team loses by? If it didn't matter, all the odds makers in Vegas would be out of jobs, it seems.

We used to have dislikes in here. 3 guesses as to why we don’t have them anymore-first 2 don’t count.

Someone got their panties in a bunch about their posts getting disliked.

Margin of victory in Vegas means nothing 2 weeks after the game is over. Am I in some college football twilight zone? In my mind this season is just completely insane already. There are teams playing their 6th game today and the Big10 just started. The PAC 10 hasn’t played a game. Coastal freaking Carolina is ranked. Team schedules are completely blown up and bowl games are being cancelled. A thread like this reminds me of times when we took moral victories- ONLY lost to LSU by 14 or so. Really scared team so and so.

If there is a CFP it will be Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State (who will be lucky to even play 8 games) and probably Georgia. The App team I saw the other night wasn’t the one that lost to a really good Marshall squad. There will be tons of chaos yet to happen.

I’ll be curious to see what the CFP does with:

BIG10 and PAC12 teams
Cincinnati if they are still undefeated
BYU if they are still undefeated

Part of me thinks Ohio State could have just abstained from the whole season, stayed 0-0 and still got voted in.

I just looked at the remaining schedule for Marshall, they should easily finish the season undefeated. I know sometimes we have a weak schedule but nothing compared to theirs this season. Thus far, we are the only team with a winning record that they have played. La Tech is at 3-3 and they are the next best team to us, everyone else is well below 500. And the next 3 are even worse, UMass, MTSU and UNCC. If they reschedule their game from this weekend, they would also have the powerhouse (sarcasm) of FIU that is currently 0-3 with a loss to a FCS team. The only real chance for a loss would be if the conference plays the championship game but I don't even know if they are and didn't care enough to look it up because even if they do it will probably be against UAB and they aren't that good either. I still can't believe we lost to those guys, with every day that passes it gets worse and is quickly approaching the Georgia Southern loss from last season especially if Marshall ends up representing the G5 in the NY6 bowl.
