I pretty much agree with the possible "trap game" assessment...I checked out about 15 minutes of the Tx State v. BYU game on the tube. Unbeaten #12 BYU made it a track meet by scoring a 52-14 win in Provo. The Bobcats never posed a serious threat, but they do have four or five skill position guys who are playmakers. Jake Spavital will have his guys ready to get after us when the time comes.

We should win by 3 or 4 TDs, but keep in mind that this team spanked ULM by 3 TDs in Monroe last monh.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Also playing at home they came within inches of beating GS. In our last visit to San Marcos, we escaped by the skin of our teeth with a late game goal line stand.

I have been expecting Texas State to have a "breakout" year for a while now. I don't think this is the year but they are improved. They have played tough against some good teams including SMU and Boston College. This is the year that App has to show up for EVERY SunBelt game or there is a significant risk of an upset. It's like every game....if we play App football, then we win pulling away. If we play sloppy, we're vulnerable.

Don’t know if you’ve been there before but we went two years ago and it is a really nice stadium. But no one was there. Sad to see a great stadium like that empty. And it won’t be any better this year with COVID.

I was there 2 years ago as well. The stadium is very nice and if they ever filled it up it would be quite the place to play. From the seating chart it looks like only half of the stadium will be used and its the press box side so whatever you'll be seeing on TV probably won't show the fans in the stands.
