Clean up the illegal procedure penalties.

Keep the push going.

No let downs.

If #15 is gonna beat us make them earn it.

Only up 1 score and they get the ball first in 2nd half. D has to stop them and then if we score it’ll really put pressure on them.

Really enjoying the play calling today; our two first down plays being passes blew me away. Definitely keeping the D honest. OLine is getting after it. Oh and what a drive to finish the half! The D is still cooking. Let's keep it rolling!

This is what happens when you take the ball on the initial coin flip. Take the ball and set the tone, play w/ the lead!...don’t automatically get behind seven nothing on our complementary TD we always give up. I’d rather stop them first series of the second half and totally demoralize them rather than the first series of the first half.
Of course we did give up a complementary TD but least we were already in the lead!

The whole team should be proud of how they've coached and played that half. Keep it up Mountaineers!

I think a huge stat is the opening drive. If you defer and stop them it’s big in that you get the ball and the 2nd half kickoff. Conversely if you take the kick and score it sets a tone. If we stop them on the opening series we have two mental victories.

Know their staff is good enough to make adjustments in 2nd half. We need to stay aggressive and not let up. Impressive 1st half.

Zac dropped a dime on that one.
If we can keep up the pressure on their QB, I like our chances. Credit to DC Dale Jones. Again.
Really liked the way we went to the short passing game on our first couple of first down calls

If we stuck with a 3 man rush we would get picked apart. Bring that heat and keep mixing it up. Honestly aside from the opening TD they got lucky on that sideline pass and even when the backup ran for a first our guy got held on the edge.

I've already said it once or twice this year....but I'm glad I was wrong on being worried about Dale Jones and that he learned from that nightmare that was his first stint as DC some years ago.

Stopping the 2pt conversion was big, though. A TD makes it a 2 possession game

Horrible display of tackling and angles there. Cue the Benny Hill music.

But don’t crawl into a shell on offense.
We need to answer.
