Being we are so scattered out with 2,100 and weather is almost for sure rain wonder if umbrellas would be ok just this one time being they can't possibly be in anyone's vision of game???? Now that i have thought about it I am waving the "no umbrella rule" just for tonight's game! Just tell them when you enter that the no umbrella rule has been waived for tonight some person on the message board gave the OK!

Back in the 1980s I attended a game at then "Conrad Stadium" in the rain. Umbrellas were still allowed back then and it was a packed house. I don't recall the opponent or the score but I do remember everyone overlapping their umbrellas and peeking through the gaps to see the field. A wonderful photo of that game came out later (I believe in the yearbook) showing the home side with all the multi-colored umbrellas...you could not even see the people for the umbrellas.

Sounds like a good idea for this game. Would like to see App State Athletics make the change and inform those attending the game for tonight’s game only.

I object to this sensible idea for the simple reason that we should all be equally miserable. Sort of like socialism.

Everts has proven her metal this year. Wasn't a fan but i've come about 130 degrees on her. Lose the pope-mobile and the yes men in suits...she might make it.

Agreed. I realize it takes a village to make it happen, however, App St did a better job in managing the pandemic overall compared to university their size or larger. Although significantly reduced, they did continue to have some classes live. As of today, the CV19 numbers for student and faculty look good and have looked good for several weeks. I realize that some students are not getting tested so not have to quarantine. This is relative as this idea of not getting tested occurred at other universities. Was it a perfect process, no per my sophomore daughter. However, it was manageable. Could the process been better, sure. However, the university making decisions on the fly as it was a pandemic. There is not a playbook for this. I commend her, other university professionals and the students

Does that include watching at home?
