I understood ya and you're right. My point was that it didn't seem to effect his draft stock. The good thing is we can both be right with Jean-Charles at CB and Stevens at S.

Stevens was a beast.

Stevens was a safety, one of the best, but I can’t recall a better cover corner than 8.

Matt is the best DB we ever had for sure and I apologize because I had him confused with Corey Hall who played both for us. Corey played safety for 3 years and then moved to CB as a senior out of need. I think Corey has to be in that discussion as well. He is the only player at App to be named an All-American at both safety and corner in his career.

Two reasons why I think people overlook Matt is the injury his senior year that actually costed him a round or so in the draft. Matt has the size/speed you want, good ball skills, and was a really good tackler.

Overall, it’s been quality football discussions backed with facts from each side. ‘94 and I have had some good debates over the last few seasons and I always appreciate his take.

Having a more dynamic passing game would be great, but I would not expect it to change our Run/Pass mix if Cam and Co. continue to run like they have this year. What it does is give us an option if a team sells out to stop our rush game and in normal circumstances, it should keep more guys out of the box to allow our stable f back to run like we did on North Texas. I personally love watching the ground and pound game. It’s like golf, it’s safer to keep the ball on the ground whenever possible around the green.

Marshall loaded the box and it worked. I knew that game that not having Sutton was going to be a bigger issue than I thought. Long drive home after that game. With the receiving corps we have for next year .... no team will able to do that. Looking forward to teams picking how they want us to score. Our backs are going to love it. We will not be one dimensional.

I think his dad was living in Raleigh while he was here. I remember Matt was born in Michigan but they moved to NC when he was a kid. They did miss big time!

Marcus Williams- I have no clue and don't think I have seen anything.

Kaiden Smith- Probably a PFA who could make a roster but could improve stock with one more year. He is more key to our secondary than people think. Put Jones, Jolly, Smith, Huff, and Ross along with the young guys and we have a great group.

Jalen Virgil- Hearing buzz that he may return or grad transfer. Anyone know here? He is the one who could help his draft stock the most of this group.

Mike Evans- No clue here

Jacob Huesman- I suspect he is going but not sure

Cole Garrison- Have not seen confirmation but I am assuming he is gone since he is in medical school.

Tim Frizzell- No clue on this one but I could see either way.

Chandler Staton- No clue on his status

Tommy Dawkins- Not sure on his status. Would love to get him back though. Underrated player.
