Gasparilla bowl is now short a team to play UAB

At 2-8 with a 6 game losing streak, USC has absolutely no business being anywhere near a bowl...pandemic year or not. Hopefully the Blazers find someone else to play that is at least .500 for the year.

The fact that a dumpster fire like the Gamecocks would even be considered for a bowl game is so 2020. About as humorous as LSU opting out of bowl season.

Sorry but I think our guys are done. I know the fans would like another game but it's clear our seniors have put a wrap on their careers.

LSU didn't opt out, they self imposed a one year bowl ban. Which to me is even more comical, like "we know we are no good this year and the NCAA is sniffing around so let's just get it out of the way."

Agreed, tomorrow is Christmas Eve and other plans with family, etc. have probably been made. Besides, we beat UAB's ass last year. Oh, by the way South Carolina too. Thus, been there done that.

Man I hope that some of you guys aren’t remotely serious about the team trying to play another meaningless game. I’m sure the players and coaches are exhausted and ready to be home. For what it’s worth would the coaches get paid extra bonus money if this even happened? If I’m a player and I’m ready for my break I’d be pissed. These guys are still young men who have lives beyond App Football. Good season and now it’s done.

I meant it sarcastically anyway. I guess it did not read clearly. If it was the Peach Bowl or something I would seriously be wiling to go but not for a meaningless game. It has been a draining season and these guys deserve the break.

SC had so many players opt out before this week, no surprise. COVID or not, they haven’t been ready to play all year.
