Just heard on news that masks are being required of everyone attending BOA Stadium for Panther games. Wonder how that affects App/ECU game?

I saw that they were for people in the indoor concourse areas on the 300 and 400 levels and other indoor areas. it says "Face coverings are not required outdoors".

You are correct, hope it stays that way. Getting to your seats outside may require a mask.

With the sun down and therefore the amount of UV light mostly gone for the day I think it may be prudent to mask up unless we are spread out a good bit. I plan to wear a mask at least to start and see what seating looks like.

Hopefully we'll be up 35 in the 2nd quarter and the ECU fans will clear out and make more space for us.

This is funny. My kindergarten grandson soon to be 1st grade Guilford County, we took him to ice cream store, lots of kids. So I ask do you see any of your classmates from last year, no we had mask on on year long, don't know what they look like. Looks like they are going to have two years of not knowing what their classmates look like!!! His 7th birthday is Friday, he is already a big boy plus they redshirted him last year. Getting him ready for sports, he loves football.

The most important thing to Cooper at this presser is the lottery winner for the shot. This is all you need to know.

Surgical masks are rated to protect against airborne particles 2.5 micrometers and larger, while N95 protect against 1 micrometers and up. Respirator masks worn by firefighters and automotive painters are rated for as small as 0.1 micrometers. Coronavirus is 0.006 micrometers.

But if it makes you feel better to keep inhaling the same dirty CO2 you exhaled for hours on end, knock yourself out.

Just reading the Warning on the side of a box of BYD masks I have:
"The mask does not eliminate the risk of contracting any disease or infection."

Get a vaccine, get a booster, wear two masks (even while driving your car by yourself with the windows up) wear one of those face shields, gloves, stay home forever, stop living your life and otherwise approach folks with abject fear.

I’m vaccinated and have zero problems being asked for my proof and have zero problems if only vaccinated people can come in the stadium by for gods sake don’t make me wear a mask in a freaking stadium

You can never be too safe, even after you’ve done everything that’s been asked of you. There is always more to do

China had a record 18.3% GDP growth in Q1, also they were the only top 20 economy in the world with positive GDP growth in 2020.

Hummm...should that tell me anything?

Those warnings have been on those boxes for years. I used to be in charge of purchasing PPE and ensuring OSHA compliance when I was managing a collision repair shop. OSHA would have shut us down if we allowed our guys to wear surgical or N95 masks in the paint booth. As I mentioned automotive paint above, the particles in paint fumes are significantly larger than viruses. And yet the guys in the paint booth wore a much stricter mask than the ones we are being told to wear for this virus. And in the heady days before Covid, we all knew those paint respirators were ineffective against airborne viruses and bacteria. And OSHA also forbid our guys from wearing them for more than a short period because, in order to protect against such small particles, breathing was so severely restricted. But again, that was to protect against something as much as 100 times larger than a virus.

I really try to avoid these endless and tiresome debates. You make a good point about masks. The whole thing has become a fashion or political statement for many people. You see bedazzled masks, political references and other ridiculous stuff. I personally think that most of these masks are a complete waste of material. I only don one when absolutely pushed to do so.
