Observations through 1 quarter
Observations through 1 quarter:
1. Brice is good. So are his receivers.
2. Defense looks pretty solid, save for one play
3. The oline looks strong
4. Ponce calls a really smooth game
Through 15 minutes, I’m pretty pleased.

I really love our play calling! What a breath of fresh air after last year. So glad Pounce is back. Peoples is a stud and Chase is as good as advertised in camp.

So far, very impressed. Even though EZU doesn’t look very good, the offensive play calling was a breath of fresh air compared to last year. We are mixing it up and don’t look predictable. My jury is still out for Brice, but I like what I’ve seen.

Just curious how many games that jury is going to need to deliberate on Chase? Call me a homer but I love what I see from him and I am all in on the Chase bandwagon.

Re: Observations through 1 quarter
I said what I said because I want to see him against a better defense. ECU just doesn’t look good. Not taking anything away from his performance so far, just not going to go all in after 1 quarter.

Re: Observations through 1 quarter
First time I’ve seen him play since he was at Clemson… seems a little slow in the backfield…. Passing is spot on but I’m not going all in on him just yet…

Re: Observations through 1 quarter
Except for the called back TD, where we got jacked, Im happy at 1/2 time.

Re: Observations through 1 quarter
I actually think that was the correct call with Gibbs. He didn't come down with it in bounds.

Re: Observations through 1 quarter
Reluctantly agree. It was so close, and a damn good throw, but likely not a TD.

Chase makes throws we haven’t been able to attempt in a long time. We are absolutely loaded on offense.

Re: Observations through 1 quarter
We have been missing the long throws that hit our receivers in stride for far too long. Seems like for the past years our guys would have to slow and adjust and rarely if ever got yards after the catch because they were never in stride. This offense will be fun to watch this year.

Re: Observations through 1 quarter
No but others have tried and rarely had results like that. So excited about our players and play calling on offense this year.
