GA St isn’t what they used to be. They clicked during Auburn and that’s going to carry over into App’s game. I won’t be surprised if it’s close.

GSU will be motivated. They played us hard last year, although we all know the story of App last year. I expect it to be a hard fought game. App needs to show up and get it done. They aren't going to lay down.

Will be tough contest. Ga. St. has confidence after Auburn. I do like that we have had two good contests on the road (ECU (not at KBS) and Miami).

They made a switch at RB and QB before the UNCC game. Changed the whole disposition of that club. They are not who we may think they are anymore

Seems we need to load the box against their QB that is playing recently. His passing isn't good apparently and how Auburn shut them down in the second half.

Some of their fans are asking about the first QB if he'll be put in to be able to pass.

Auburn probably figured that they could run their basic defense the whole game out of SEC arrogance and apparently might have gotten bailed out at the end. I just really believe that App is a legit top 30 team right now (maybe better) and some of these traditional big boy P5’s are not as good as we are. We will see but I really don’t think we will get run on like Auburn did.

I like our team a lot, but I do realize that I tend to have black and gold colored glasses most times. I too would easily say we are a top 30 team but then I think about what we have shown this year so far. We beat a bad ECU team, we lost to Miami (who isn't good), soundly beat a FCS team after some struggles early, and only beat Marshall (who I would like to say is good but did lose to a bad ECU team) by 1. So looking at it that way, not sure we have demonstrated to anyone that we are top 30 this year at all yet.

To me we are just top 50 currently with potential, have to put everything together for a full game. So far there are times I've been worried about parts of games. Hoping that being down to Marshall and that drive for the long Sutton TD opened us up to what is possible and we keep more of that mentality.

Huff was a gametime decision last week, would assume he plays this week but Clark didn't say.
K Smith is 50/50 for this week.

I agree. Objectively, there is nothing about our performance to date that says top 30. We have seen some excellent play on both sides of the ball but we also have been very inconsistent. We seem brillant for five-six plays and then stall. We are only around 30% on third down conversion. Our defense has certainly not put up the kind of numbers we are used to at this point (some of which could based on who we have played). We are more than capable of running the table but we are far from a well-oiled machine at this point.

Fine I'm guessing? He went back in the game after the injury, didn't see anything else worrying unless I missed something.

I see what people are saying about how "objectively" we haven't really proven we are a top 30 team yet, but I think I could say that about several teams above us. Certainly Coastal has had impressive scores, but hasn't played anybody at all yet. The only decent team they played was a 3 point win. App "only" had a 1 point win over Marshall, but we all know there was really another TD that wasn't registered at the end. Also, that margin came despite a couple of turnovers. Granted, the turnovers aren't a mark of an elite team, but the team played well. I maintain ECU isn't a typical "bad" team and that game had the element of rivalry, as did Marshall. At the end of the day, I don't care. Just show up and win one game at a time and I think we will prove it by the end of the season.
