Mental Floss over our loss....

Saw this posted elsewhere today. Got to say, that within the fandom echo chamber, I don't like what I'm hearing from some folks. Stop it.

Years ago, Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant met the media after a loss and gave Bama fans some great advice, saying:
“It’s awfully important to win with humility.
It’s also important to lose.
I hate to lose more than anyone, but if you don’t lose, you don’t know how to act.
If you lose with humility, then you can come back.”

I never expected to have fans of Appalachian Football act this way after a loss, it makes me sad, regardless of how you lose you cannot win every game. That is the reason I miss the playoffs, one or two losses your season was never over. Beating Michigan was nice, but it did not help us get in the playoffs in '07, even thought we lost to Wofford and Georgia Southern , we got in the playoffs and won a National Championship. In '95 we went undefeated and still did not win a National Championship. Shawn Clark knows what it is to win and lose and he is one of us, hopefully we will have a level of empathy that we did not have before for the teams we play so we will be even better in the long run.

Bad loss, but we will bounce back like we always do. We are fortunate to say a 3 loss season is below par. Not many fans of other schools can have that benchmark.

Well said. Thank you

Baffles me that some people are calling for coaches to be fired.
