App -21

That’s another big spread this week. Arky may be deservingly bad, but came real close to beating a team that caused us to warm up the bus after a quarter and a half.Odd to me seeing Vegas favoring us by 28 and us covering and only 21 to a lesser team this week. We seemed to play well vs ULM, as +5 turnovers or -4 have a way of lopsiding a game like ULL. I think we cover if Clark wants to keep the team focused, as I thought we naturally lost some of that with the huge lead.

Let’s pay back Butch Jones with a drubbing for our loss at UT a few years back.

Despite their records I think arky and ULM are on the same level as a team and this one is on the road. Spread looks about right to me

0-2 on the road so far this year. I was on another site looking at spreads at they said App had not covered/had trouble covering the last 2 years.

And we covered yesterday, finally.

I don’t attribute the second half to a loss of focus as much as a change in focus. The game was over at the end of the first quarter. The second half was about getting young guys live, game speed reps in base defense. Backups need to crawl before they can run.

I watched about a third of the replay of the Ark St v USA game. If we have trouble with Ark St. I will be shocked. Now that USA bunch can play and could cause us problems.

I mean, they also had a fumble recovery bounce perfectly for a long td. Scratch both of those and we cover.

What possible difference does it make if we covered a spread in yesterday’s or any game EVER, especially after a win?? I mean if you had money on the game you care but if you are simply a fan who cares? Some dudes in Vegas threw a number out there and some guys actually care if we covered it or not. What does that number even mean after we won?

1-0....covered the number I was most interested in.

I agree totally with AppDub. The only spread I look at is whatever the number we win by. Period!

Different strokes for different folks makes the world go around, if we all did the same thing, it would be pretty boring place. And if we were forced to do the same, we'd be Commies.

Don't forget that pick 6 at then end of the half that was pretty bizarre. Several ways it could have been covered.

I wonder if Arkansas State hates being called Arky as much as some of us hate being called Appy?

That is my hope.

Look at the end of the Clemson vs Florida State. That’s why I don’t bet on the spread.
