If I had to guess, I don’t think helms will be back this year.

Sounding like broken bone in Helms foot... waiting to hear confirmation. They were getting xrays tonight when they got back to Boone.

Pearson was out due to a family emergency. If you're the praying type, keep him and his family in your prayers.

Jolly could have played today if needed.

Waiting to hear on Huesman.

Hoping Helms’ prognosis is better than than the predictions. Luke Smith has played quite a few minutes this year, often subbing for Daley, but seems to be comfortable at left and right guard. I would think he would be the replacement if necessary. The backup for Helms on the depth chart is redshirt freshman, Seth Williams.

It’s bad enough if a friend has a wedding on a gameday. And that’s just a friend and I’m certainly not playing. I may have not talked to my sister in his case for a while.

If it's true, remember he wasn't playing any more just a couple months ago....

True. Thought if that. But we did have a lot of free saturdays.

Wow that’s interesting. It didn’t end up making any difference but who was the backup?

Broken foot for Helms is obviously tough but that’s a much better prognosis than I thought watching him come off the field. Assumed it was an ACL or some other knee injury with how everyone was slipping on that turf today.

Regardless, hopefully a speedy recovery and we’ll see him back next year

From what I hear the wedding was planned long before Huesman decided to return and that it was known by the staff at the time.

Speaking of turf, its time for A-State Athletics to either add some rubber pellets to theirs or just replace it altogether.

Yeah, I noticed it was #12 who took the last snap.

The footing looked like crap from the first play .As to Helms he was solid and getting better by the week ,hate to see him go down.Generally a broken bone is better than ligament damage as far as rehab I'm told, if that's the case.Next man , Luke Smith , up.

Waiting to hear the official word from the team but his foot was not what was being iced after the game from what I've been told. His knee was. Hoping for good news either way.
