Re: Peoples
Can’t figure it out. He looked hurt for most of the year. Would make a few good runs and then limp off the field. Saturday he looked great on his TD run. I watched as much as I could as he left the field and returned to the sidelines and for the first time in a while saw no real sigh that he was injured. My only guess is that he is fighting a lingering injury. I think we have three guys who can contribute but if People’s was healthy I can’t understand how limited he was on Saturday. Hope he is or can get healthy.

Re: Peoples
Cam was in concussion protocol on Saturday. He hit his head on the turf at one point. Prior to that, he felt the best he had felt all year.

Wouldn't be surprised if it happens.... He should have been used more this year.

Re: Peoples
I can tell you it has enraged me. This is the kind of thing that makes me have irrational thoughts. You can’t imagine how happy I was to be in the privacy of my home before the half last week when we ran Noel up the middle twice and kicked it away. I would have probably been removed from the stadium.

Re: Peoples
That is my point exactly. A bigger back in those situations would be the way to go IMHO. With that said you will notice I have not been hired to make those decisions, probably with good cause.appbio91 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 9:13 amI can tell you it has enraged me. Re: Peoples
What platforms are you referring to with hysteria?
I'll just say I love Peoples as much as anyone, can't believe he wasn't used more this year, but hopefully we can keep the incoming freshman signed and will be okay if Peoples does leave.

Re: Peoples
I would have loved to see him being used more. He seems to have extra motivation the closer he gets to the end zone.
At the game on Saturday, I wondered why he didn't get the majority of the carries after his TD. But, if he was in concussion protocol, that answers the question.
As fans, most of us don't know how nicked up a player is, how/if they practiced throughout the week, etc.
He's been a special player, since his first carries in 2018, capped by the big run in the New Orleans Bowl. I hope we have him for another season at The Rock.

Re: Peoples
Does anyone on this board REALLY think that the UL team had better players than us? We had a great stable of backs, awesome receivers, awesome defense. Noone from the UL team stuck out to me. Yes their freshman RB was good, but I would still take Peoples. Guess I just bleed black and gold.

Their two safeties were really good. They allowed the front seven to do their thing.appstate5 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 1:58 pmDoes anyone on this board REALLY think that the UL team had better players than us? Re: Peoples
Their front 7 were very physical and their DBs were covering us like a blanket. ULL is the better overall team for this year.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 2:09 pmTheir two safeties were really good. Re: Peoples
Yeah, this what was most disappointing. We owned them, they improved and we were stagnant.
