Godspeed to the people of Western Kentucky as they face death toll and destruction from wee hours tornados across a wide swath of their region.

Too early to speculate on the relatively inconsequential topic of next Saturday's Boca Raton Bowl, but this tragedy will absolutely have it's impact!

WKU said one off-campus student, set to graduate this weekend, died in the storms.

An EF5 tornado in December is nuts.

Chancellor put out a statement saying one student...who was supposed to be graduating today, was killed in an off-campus residence.

Also, these same storms tore through NE Arkansas and parts of Missouri and Tennessee over a 200 mile area.

Jonesboro wasn't hit, but towns nearby were. Kara Richey, an A-State radio personality, raised $1,600 in 2 hours for supplies for one of the towns.

There's some towns in that line that were flattened and look applocalyptic.

Guys, I just donated and I’d encourage all of you to as well. We might be enemies on the field, but we’re all people. Let’s show this community why it’s great to be a Mountaineer. It’s such a tragedy, this close to Christmas.

Enemies? Not trying to be obtuse, but football at any level is just a game (a money game, but yet only a game).

This super tornado was astounding, I believe I saw that it reached from Illinois to Mississippi. Hopefully it didn't cause too much damage to our soon to be Sunbelt brethren's area around University of Southern Mississippi. Going to give blood as soon as the Red Cross comes around my area. Have been doing so for over 50 years. Hopefully some of blood donors' contributions reaches the folks in those areas hit by the mega tornado. Just as important to those folks as monetary.
