It sure seems like it isn't just you based on the scant hype about this game. Seemed in years past the lead up to the bowl game was very hyped with lots of different discussion. Just not seeing that this year. I am still excited about the game, but it feels like we are just limping toward the end of the season after losing that championship game.

Traffic seems to have slowed on here since the site was down the week of the CCG. maybe it's more that than less hype.t4pizza wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 2:43 pmIt sure seems like it isn't just you based on the scant hype about this game. Good call. People are probably busy reaching out to random and obscure contacts to get the latest scoop on recruiting news as well.goapps93 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 3:42 pmTraffic seems to have slowed on here since the site was down the week of the CCG. maybe it's more that than less hype.t4pizza wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 2:43 pmIt sure seems like it isn't just you based on the scant hype about this game. I've seen conflicting information on the Pep or Spirit rally scheduled for Friday at 6pm. Is it going to be held at The Square @ Boca as the Alumni website said or will it be held at Marina Viaalge Bicentennial Park in Riveria Beach as per the Bowl website?

I'm also not excited. IMO, the worst destination we've gotten. Beach has no appeal to me, so this might as well be a trip to Ballantyne or any other upscale suburb. This will be the first bowl game I have missed. Maybe it's just me, but since I live in a place with no history, I prefer to visit places that have existed more than 40 years.

I am excited for bowl game. We have an opponent that throws the ball all over the place. The only reason that I am not attending live is we elected the SBC Championship game versus bowl game.
Nothing like waking up on a Saturday morning for some football.

Re: Game week in Boca
I'm afraid some of us have delusions of grandeur. We all know what bowls we are "eligible" for if we don't go undefeated and none of them are truly exciting destinations. I'm not going to the game and haven't been to a bowl because of cost and the dates coincide with family Christmas events. I am, however, excited to be watching one more App football game on TV this season against a quality opponent. Maybe we need to miss out on going to a bowl for a few seasons to get the excitement back. Or we could just have better attitudes. That's just my opinion, though. (Since that seems to be what makes comments legitimate these days.)

Make no mistake... I'll be watching and am excited we get to close out with a bowl game and a good opponent... just, to me, an unappealing destination. The destination is the source of my lack of excitement.

I am always excited to watch App football. Also, don’t think this is a gimmee game and WKU is probably better than most of our former bowl opponents.

I will not miss an App St game. If not in person then on the tube. I'm always excited to watch our team play. To be honest, I'm concerned with this match up. May be our toughest bowl yet. Wish me and the family could be there.

Haven't missed a Bowl Game. Enjoyed all of the festivities and meeting new App friends! Leaving Thurs morning from GBoro and look forward to creating new memories. Life and health are fleeting so I am going to enjoy every opportunity to support my Apps!

Re: Game week in Boca
Maybe slightly better since it is the first bowl game on a day full of football. Some will tune it just because it is the first one on.

I thought WKUs coach had an interesting take on being the first game of the day. He said that you can get extra exposure because your highlights are played for the remainder of the day.
