LOL...I always update the Main Page first so if anyone wants to look they can find it in the Commits section but I have to edit both the Main Page and the player page. Takes a few minutes...mtnjax wrote:Got one! I'll let the Moose provide the details

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Excellent. Love this guy's measurables, and love adding another guy who should be able to help right away.firemoose wrote:It's official. We have commit #10 for the class of 2015. WR/DB Zireycus Letman (6' 3" 195) of Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, GA has just committed to App. I have moved him to the Commits section of the Main Page. I've been expecting this all day but he just tweeted it and it's been confirmed. This is our second GMC commit for 2015 as Letman joins LB Dezmen Reed on the board.
Don't look now, but we should have a good, veteran WR corps with some decent size:
Sr. M. Jones
Sr. McElfresh
Sr. McGuire
Jr. Letman
Soph. Meadors
Plus Barbour, Lewis and all the other guys we're redshirting this year. This group is quickly turning from a weakness to a strength.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Spring ball and fall camp are going to be extremely interesting. We lose three olineman, 1 H back, and 1 CB. That is it.
Other than Oline we're going to see battles to make the two deep, let the cream rise. Very nice verbal coaching staff, keep it up.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
No doubt. Things are going to be picking up from here too with recruiting. As the HS seasons start ending more recruits will start to commit and the board will begin to take more shape. Lots of work still to do. Staff has got it's work cut out to keep everybody committed and to fill out the rest of the class. And I've got to try and keep up with it all...EastHallApp wrote:All in all, pretty decent day for App State football, huh?

Question: Is this the kid that can has big vertical leap? and runs track?

Re: Recruiting, 2015
He ran track in HS and also played Basketball. His vert is between 36 and 40, depending on sites but most put it in the 38-40 range. Speed is shown between 4.44 and 4.52. He has added a little weight during his time at GMC. You can tell a difference between his HS film and his latest GMC film. 4.5 is plenty fast enough and we want him because of the 6' 3" with the vert. Still looking for another 6' 4" WR but he counts as one of the two we wanted in this years class.PhillyApp1 wrote:Moose , great pick up.firemoose wrote:It's official. Re: Recruiting, 2015
Interesting reported offer. From his twitter OL Nathan Gilliam (6' 5" 275) of Farragut High School in Knoxville, TN is saying he has received a reported offer from App. What makes it interesting is that the Rivals, 24/7 and ESPN 3 star OT is a Wake Forest commit (8/18/2014) with additional reported offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Louisville, MTSU, Mississippi St, and South Carolina. This is normally a player we would have offered early on. I have added him to the Main Page under the Commits Elsewhere section since he's a Wake commit and I did add a player page with video. Still thinking about this one.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Both are still in play and one more taller WR is at the top of the wish list. But we couldn't afford to miss on a taller WR this season. Mr Letman gives us one.Yosef10 wrote:Still want markeyvious and/or Adonus but I'm glad we got this kid

Re: Recruiting, 2015
maybe since we've scheduled Wake now, we're going to start going after more of their recruiting targets? lolfiremoose wrote:Interesting reported offer. I've always said Wake has the most to loose from the 5 new FBS programs in the middle of the ACC heartland.mtnjax wrote:maybe since we've scheduled Wake now, we're going to start going after more of their recruiting targets? lolfiremoose wrote:Interesting reported offer. Re: Recruiting, 2015
Anyone hear anything on the recruiting trails about UNC CHeat in-state recruits and targets looking to go elsewhere?
CHeat Hill will likely be hit with a number of sanctions after the mess gets sorted out by the NCAA, kids likely will want to play somewhere else. I was at the ECU game last night and many of the folks were talking about how the time is now to strike CHeat where it hurts.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Maybe with possible sanctions looming (wishful thinking???), the coaches can go poach a couple of UNC commits, namely the 4 star OL player, T. Hatton and their 4 star 6'4" WR, J. Mollette.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
I agree, and I must say I am very sure that sanctions are not a question of if, but when. This in some ways blows SMU, Miami, and Penn State out of the water since it is totally on the academic side of the house.moonshine wrote:Maybe with possible sanctions looming (wishful thinking???), the coaches can go poach a couple of UNC commits, namely the 4 star OL player, T. Recruits will be finding themselves back on the market.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Guys like that wouldn't be coming to App even if they did decommit. They have plenty of other high-major options.moonshine wrote:Maybe with possible sanctions looming (wishful thinking???), the coaches can go poach a couple of UNC commits, namely the 4 star OL player, T. Re: Recruiting, 2015
Chandler Greer can help in our recruitment of Gilliam. Bearden and Farragut are neighboring rivals in K-town.firemoose wrote:Interesting reported offer. For the folks in GA, Daniel David and his Mill Creek team will be on GPTV tonight. I do not know if those games are streamed for others to watch. I'm looking forward to checking him out.
