I believe 2016 prospect LB Bryce Monti (5-11, 206) of Hortonville, Wis., is also in Boone on an unofficial.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Darnell Thompson also visited and is getting a lot of pressure from the other recruits and players to commit to app. I see him givinghis commitment soon. Said on Twitter that he loved his visit. 3*. Would be a huge get

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Would be great for DL depth for sure.
Seems like we're targeting 5-6 Jucos in this class.
So far we have a WR, LB, DE, this would add a CB and DT.
We need at least two if not three more olineman for this class.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
All the listed guys are correct plus FAA signees TE Collin Reed and K Michael Rubino came on another visit. I have more than 20 names from the net but not all are targets.

Those jucos, along with all the redshirts, should ensure plenty of competition for starting jobs even with 20 starters returning.Saint3333 wrote:Would be great for DL depth for sure.

I would say 3 OL is pretty much a minimum every class.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
We're going to be looking to take 2-3 more. We don't have any JUCO OL offers out right now but that could change as the coaches hit the road Monday. They'll see where we stand with the offers we've got out and I expect to see a few more go out also. Every OL offer we have out has multiple FBS offers so the real work begins to get some commits and then try to keep them for 2 more months.EastHallApp wrote:Those jucos, along with all the redshirts, should ensure plenty of competition for starting jobs even with 20 starters returning.Saint3333 wrote:Would be great for DL depth for sure.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
I have a 2016 name to add. OL Robbie Bell (6' 5" 265) of Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, GA. He visited yesterday and even though there is no offer showing it's a bit of a trip to get here so I'm going to add him to the Considering section of the 2016 Main Page. Plus there's the fact that his QB this year has been App commit Daniel David. Already 6' 5" and has plenty of room on his frame to add weight. Rivals shows him picking up some P5 interest so it will be great if we have a teammate here already come next year.

I thought we had an offer out to a JUCO OL from GMC??firemoose wrote:We're going to be looking to take 2-3 more. Re: Recruiting, 2015
3 star WR/TE (and 6"4) West Lindor just decommitted from Syracuse. His only other offer is A-State. Could see us making an offer to him.
Looks to be an athletic freak and exactly what we need:
GET ON IT COACHES!

They are aware of him.crossza wrote:3 star WR/TE (and 6"4) West Lindor just decommitted from Syracuse. His only other offer is A-State. Could see us making an offer to him.

And jax is right. The GMC O-Lineman doesn't hold an offer yet. The Main Page has the current OL offers we have. IMO about half are possibles but, as I said, most have multiple offers. We're visiting with or contacting most of the offers we've got out now these next two weeks. Testing the waters to see where we stand. I expect some more to go out soon, once the staff gets a feel of where we stand.JROCK98 wrote:I thought we had an offer out to a JUCO OL from GMC??

Re: Recruiting, 2015
In this weeks interview with Satterfield, Scott mentioned OL and DL as being two areas that we have to build depth in this year (every year), and that the coaches were all hitting the road this week. I'd imagine some new offers will be going out to lineman very soon.
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?
Re: Recruiting, 2015
I don't care how good your DL/OL lines are on your current team, you can never, ever have enough quality lineman. Those positions should be a top priority almost every class.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
It would be a big steal right up there with Obe Fortune who had lots of P5 offers.Appdoggy wrote:Is this West Lindor kid a actual target now? He would be the biggest steal of the class if we could land him.
