Not a surprise as he said he was signing today but it's official now. I have moved him to the Signed section on the Main Page and have updated his player page. And we can Officially say Welcome to the Mountaineer Family Mr Williams!!!

I've been watching all day and we have our second official LOI signed for the class of 2015. WR Zireycus Letman (6′ 3″ 195) of Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, GA has signed his LOI to App State and will also enroll in January. I have moved him to the Signed section on the Main Page and have updated his player page. And we can Officially say Welcome to the Mountaineer Family Mr Letman!!!

I don't know what changed but Letman's rating have gone way up recently. He is now a high 3-Star. I was starting to get worried some other schools were coming after him late.
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

Saw that also. Guessing he was reevaluated after this season, which happens a lot. I saw the rating jump on a couple of sites and that was why I was watching all day with fingers crossed to see something saying he signed. Never really had much doubt as he's stayed firm all along, the same as Reed and Sims, but you never know sometimes. It's going to be a long 49 days until Feb 4th. It's no wonder most coaches have gray hair or no hair.

Working on a possible PWO acceptance. I'm sure some have seen the tweet to a news story saying DE Morgan Wilson (6′ 4″ 250) of Monticello High School in Charlottesville, VA committed to App. I had him in the Considering section based on some comments a while back but I had not seen an offer on any site. I have added a player page with video highlights now. He's still listed in the Considering section but you can now view the highlights. He was injured (knee) most of his senior season so there are not many highlights from this year but I did find an article from March of this year on the VAPreps Rivals page saying he had picked up some P5, G5, and FCS interest and it was written that some were looking at him for both DL and OL. Still looking and I'll post an update when I can.

That kid looks like a beast. If you pair him next to Barrett, that's going to a load to deal with in the front 3

That's the news story I was referring to.

DL Morgan Wilson (6′ 4″ 255) of Monticello High School in Charlottesville, VA has accepted a PWO offer to Appalachian State. I have moved his player page with highlights to the Other Newcomers section on the Main Page. As said above he had a knee injury most of his senior season so there are not many highlights from this year but I did find an article from March 2014 on the VAPreps Rivals page saying he was picking up some P5, G5, and FCS interest. Based on his film, once we get him into our S & C program to complete his recovery, he could be an excellent addition to the line.

He kind of reminds me of JJ Watt. Big, fast, strong.

Monticello is a 3A high school in Virginia's six classification system. It is just outside of Charlottesville. They lost to eventual 3A state champion Magna Vista (Ridgeway/Martinsville) in the third round of the playoffs this year.

If we can get this Morgan kid on campus as a PWO, It will be impressive. From watching his tape, he is one of the best DL recruits we would have. The speed and power he plays with when healthy is incredible. I think a year getting healthy with our SC program and we can see him as a real contributor in our lineup.

Sounds like we have our first decommit, according to Scout:

"One 2015 class update is that App State and early receiver commit Curtis Nixon have mutually decided to part ways."

This is a good summary of the class overall, that one unfortunate note aside. Well worth a read:

Nixon has been soft for awhile. Figured it was coming. I won't be shocked to see him wind up at Southern with some of his recent posts.

WR decommitting from anywhere to GS might not understand offenses too well. Good luck. Mr. Hopkins.

"mutually decided to part ways" sounds like our staff might have wanted to use that scholarship on someone else, so they let him know early enough that he could have some fallback options

TBH, i wasn't impressed with his highlights in comparison to our other WR. kind of a JAG

Sorry everyone. I wasn't in a place to type easily at last post. A bit under the weather this afternoon. Sucks to not feel well on your birthday.

I moved Nixon to "liquid" on my personal list a few months ago. He never put "App Commit" or anything like that on his social media and pretty much stopped mentioning App back then. He did mention Sou some so Mike (24/7) and I have been looking for something. As Jax mentioned, the way the statement was worded, sounds like we said firm up or drop. There are plenty of ATH's just like him lined up if we choose to go that direction or we've now got another place for an area of need.

I've said it a lot but it still applies. If someone isn't 100% committed then we don't need them here, recruit or current.

Happy birthday Ty!

And yes, we only need guys that are 100% Mountaineers.

Any news out of the Shrine Bowl this weekend? I suppose we had coaches there. Did any YC members go to it and see any possibilities?
