Has anyone heard anything on OL Coaching hire? Any stated timeframe from Clark? etc.

Soon. I'd wager within a week from today, but would guess sooner. Clark has a list of candidates that were at the top of his list through initial interviews and is letting Barbay help with final decision.

It wouldn't surprise me with the names I've heard if a decision has already been made and they are just going through the red tape before announcing.

It's not a surprise. We didn't have a position coaching spot for coach Spier

This happened a couple of weeks ago around the same time that Cardwell left. But yes, this sucks.

I'm starting to dislike Satt's continued raid of App State football. I wish he had a bigger network pool of trusted assistants to pick from.

Wasn't Speir on staff as an analyst? This is really not that surprising although I hate to see it happen. To me we are seeing a lot of the App Guys in the coaching world taking care of their own. This speaks volumes about the quality of the guys that have come through the App State program over the years. It is a also good because they are out there across the country getting experience and the network is growing. It helps our reputation and further builds our brand.

I applaud Coach Satterfield for taking care of those who had been helpful to him along the way.

I agree. I like to see App. St. tree take care of their own. Yes, it sucks. Next man up. It is a good opportunity for Speir. I hope he does well. Since we have App. St. stamped all over The Ville, I hope they win that side of the ACC in football.

We gave him a landing place while something opened up .Great guy , wish him the best.

Interesting tidbit I picked up while roaming, Cardwell may be in line for Oline at Louie.

Wasn’t impressed with the gum roots Oline last year. Could be that stupid offense or lack of talent. However, if there’s one thing Shawn knows, it’s the Oline. I will trust him on this hire.

I also saw that about Cardwell, good for him. Nic is an alum we can all be proud of.

I haven’t had a problem with Satt taking some of our guys, but I swear if Nic gets the Oline job, and he comes after Watts to coach his TE’s, I’m gonna be pissed.

He's already come after Watts to coach TEs and Watts turned it down. That's the reason Cardwell got the job.

However, if Cardwell goes to o line, he can probably offer Watts more $ since Cardwell isn't as expensive.
