Anyone else hearing the rumors about a home and home with Bama?

NC State, yes. Bama, no.

Bama doesn't play away OOC games....certainly not against a G5. I believe this season is a rare exception in that they are playing at Texas but it is rare that they play an OOC game away.

I'm guessing this was an April fools joke.

It's been in the works for a while. It's been hinted as being released soon for some time. I am guessing the full Sun Belt expansion earlier than expected threw some wrinkles so it hasn't been announced.

I hope it happens. I never thought it would though. Considering the division NCSU plays in they need every win they can get to be bowl eligible. A loss to App would hurt their bowl chances and it would just upset their already whiney fan base.

NCSU in Boone is being pursued.

Prolly one of those things that shouldn't be discussed much until it happens.

State went 9-3 last year, beat Clemson and came within a whisker of making the ACC title game. They were in San Diego ready to play a top-tier bowl game before the wokies at UCLA whimped out, using covid as an excuse. Us beating State would be a tall task most years IMO.

Only 4 of their wins in the past three seasons were against FBS teams that finished with a winning record, and we all know Clemson of 2021 is not the same Trevor Lawrence team Clemson. Would NC State be a cake walk, no, but tall task to me is what you'd consider the Texas A&M game this year, and NC State isn't on that level. Not even close.

Yes it would be. But let's not forget that we are talking about NC State...they are most talented at playing at the level of their opponent and fall victim to trap games more often than most.

The rest of family are NCSU grads. I know their pain all too well. Thankfully Yosef saved me in 2007 but until he did I was one of those tormented Wolfpack fans. I know how a game with App would play out

If they pay us for the 2nd game in Raleigh...I would take that. Raleigh would be a good place to watch App. If we could have 6 home games and App in Raleigh one year and get paid. Seems like a good year of App Football.

Athletic dept's views have probably changed but I'm sure the big donors feel the same. Slipping this in under their radar would be pretty sweet. I bet the big donors on the little hill would like to have squashed our home and home with the holes too.
