Hard to build a “ brand” when you are perceived as boring. On the other hand it’s interesting that enough random people thought of us for any reason.

Give me double digit wins nearly every season, and you can call me boring all day long.

First let me say zero offense to the person who started this thread and added that list. That being said this might be the absolute dumbest poll/list/ranking I’ve ever seen. Whether any team is boring, exciting, etc is so subjective and arbitrary. Back when we played games like track meets, mostly during the AE days those games were exciting from an offensive standpoint but special teams was a heart attack waiting to happen and often defense was a crapshoot. We have our share of boring games as does any team. I agree with what was said, I’ll take double digit (usually 10 wins) seasons every year if that’s boring. I’ll take that over a 7-5 season with 50-48 losses.

I'll take boring and ranking in the top 30 in both offense and defense every year....

I love the double digit win. It’s always better/fun to win! That being said, it seems to me the poll really is about perception.

Hate being included on the list but the comments pretty much debunk the ranking. This is definitely one of those "off season" efforts to get clicks. I guess it succeeded in getting mine.

I guess the writer did not actually watch any of the games. Last second FG to win against coastal community college south and the Marshall game was not too shabby from an excitement perspective. Yes, as above, I'll take double digit wins 8 days a week and twice on Sunday.

Also, thanks AppSt.94 for assisting a fellow alumni out. Christian called me back and extended my NEZ contract...with that completed, I need App. St. to be boring and winning at least 10 games each year.

Unless I missed something I don’t recall the reason given for us “being boring”. I guess teams that run 99% of their plays, mostly triple option are thrilling. Someone reach out to the staff and request more triple reverse flea-flicker Statue of Liberty fumblerooskie plays. Let’s go onside kick every time and never punt. We might go 0-12 but damnit we will not be boring!!

What's boring is pointless offseason list rankings like this. I have seen this article around on the 247 site, but haven't bothered to click it and won't now. Had no idea which list we were on until the OP. Who cares?
