Many on here are wanting, hoping, and or expecting a blowout. Style points and all that.
As for myself, I just hope for a win. 1 point or 50 points or more. No matter. That's just me. Want to see the Heels go down at our hands, regardless.

Who on the forum is saying this? All I see is "I just want a win"
If it happens great. But I don't think people are saying that.

Apologies. Maybe I misinterpreted some of the discussions. Wouldn't be the first time.
One thing that was curious was that a one or two talked about Mack being old and washed up and that basically he was a good recruiter but somewhat lacking in true coaching abilities. I mentioned that Mack was the head coach when Texas won a National Championship and someone said they ran him off at Texas for whatever reason. One said that the main reason he left App was because of salary...more money somewhere else.
I don't claim to know what the truth or facts are.

All of that could be true and especially at Texas as fans can be fickle and have a "what have you done lately" attitude.

Me - I have always said it - Mack is a great recruiter and a mediocre coach - I stand by that

Mack probably isn't taking this game lightly it is going to take a lot of the ball bouncing our way to win. It's about the Jimmys and Joes, it's our 3 stars against their 4-5 star players. It took one of our best teams in our history and the ball bouncing our way and blocked field goal and a coach that's moved up the ladder to beat a poor Hole team last time. We lost a lot of experience from last year's roster. I want to beat them as bad as any of you. Beating them at all I'll be thankful, happy, and surprised.

That's the right attitude, and usually am a big Homer. I've thought that way as recently as last year, thought we had the talent to run the table.
We lost a lot of experience from last year's roster. Still want to see progression in certain areas from last year to help bring me around.

I think this is great assessment. I expect to be rusty and out of sync to start with the Buikd up to this game. I think we’ll settle in … running the ball will help. Would have loved to have had a game or two to start before this . But we were ready to go last year against ECU so maybe I’m wrong.

I heard Eric Church is doing the halftime show. I guess we will see what colors he wears. I heard Luke Combs wanted it, but the UNC insurgency in the App admins wanted to please Mack.
