We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. Wake Forest Possibility?
I am not sure how to copy tweets on here, but Brett McMurphy has reported that Wake Forest and Liberty has canceled their Home-Home for 2025 and 2026. "Deacon Sports" has tweeted that App is a possibility for the 2025 season, which was scheduled for August 30, 2025. Seems like there is a possibility we could host Wake Forest and NC State in back-to-back weeks in 2025, or at least play both teams.

Re: Wake Forest Possibility?
If this happens my guess and personally I feel would make most sense from a scheduling standpoint, @Wake in 2025, then in Boone either 2026 or some later year

They said it would be made up with a new home & home series in addition to the road game I believe. So 2 at WF and 1 at App.GSUwasGump’sFallbackSchool wrote: ↑Fri Sep 16, 2022 1:57 pmWe owe them a road game for 2020 I’m pretty sure

I believe that we are technically in the middle of a home and home with Wake since they cancelled our 2020 return game in Winston. What I've been hearing is that both schools want to play that game and then schedule another home and home series between our schools. Hope it happens!

I was at the meeting in 98, was a fun time and we had a strong crowd.

When I was at APP we would play Wake almost every year in WS. It would usually take until halftime for the buzz to start to wear off before we realized we were cheering for the wrong black and gold team

You’re right It’s not really a 2 for 1, it’s finishing the home and home.Rick83 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 16, 2022 4:16 pmI believe that we are technically in the middle of a home and home with Wake since they cancelled our 2020 return game in Winston. Re: Wake Forest Possibility?
We owe Wake a game at their place in return for their coming in 2017. We were scheduled for the return game in Winston in 2020 but the ACC changed their rules about the number of out of conference games that could be played during that Covid season and Wake dropped us and picked up someone else (yes a lesser opponent to insure a win). I hope we get back on their schedule!!

Re: Wake Forest Possibility?
We owe them, but in reality they owe us and D. Gillen for the accommodation of the Covid year schedule. I’m sure Currie and Gillen had a gentlemen’s agreement to make this up as soon as the schedule’s allowed. Also, I think both AD’s understood this was too good of a draw to play without butts in the seats.Rick83 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 5:14 amWe owe Wake a game at their place in return for their coming in 2017.
