Anything to get my mind off this past Saturday.

They have to be right? They can’t just be “fine” and the coaches decided not to give them the ball in a pivotal game, right?
It begs a lot of questions. Are some of our guys just injury prone? Are the coaches very cautious in order to not risk worse injuries? Is is something in our S&C program? It's interesting for sure.RankinApp wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 11:34 amOh for sure.
It's been a recurring theme for a few years now in regards to injuries. I totally understand keeping all that information close to the vest, but it's still a bummer when you think certain guys are gonna play and they're maybe in for a series before being out again.
Kinda at the point of not believing a thing I hear or read when it comes to who is playing and who isn't.
It does seem like the team keeps getting hit hard with injuries the past couple of seasons. Certainly some bad luck.
I'm going to check the All of the Above box. My gut feeling anyways.
You didn't listen all the way then. The defense gave us a chance to win because of the two early turnovers.appst1992 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:31 pmI heard it in the post game interview and again in the press conference....that our defense gave us an opportunity to win. I understand what he's saying...that towards the end of the game we got a stop, but we gave up 32 points! And that could have easily been more. I don't know..maybe it's just me, but I don't think our defense "gave us an opportunity to win against JMU"
Ok..I'll withdraw my general feeling. Our defense has been playing lights out.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:35 pmYou didn't listen all the way then. Defense also only have up 25 points since JMU had a pick six.

That's not what I said. But defense is not what lost this game.appst1992 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:37 pmOk..I'll withdraw my general feeling. That's not what I said either. I didn't say defense was the reason we lost this game...I just don't 100% agree that they gave us a chance to win. We had some stops and caused some turnovers, but we also gave up 32 points (by the way, it wasn't a pick six...they returned it inside the 10).AppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:39 pmThat's not what I said. Offense didn't score for 75% of the game. Two of the scores came on a short field because of defense.
If you want to put it on the defense, go ahead. But this game specifically was 100% to blame on offense. Defense did more than enough to win the game.
So giving the offense two more possessions and giving up only 3 points in the first half didn't give them a better chance to win? Got it!appst1992 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:42 pmThat's not what I said either. I didn't say defense was the reason we lost this game...I just don't 100% agree that they gave us a chance to win.
