I hope we get to see most of the redshirt players hit the field today and show us what they have. A vision of what's in line for us would be great.

I’m sure that you will see Burger. I’m looking forward to seeing DJ Burks at Safety.

Hoping he gets to actually throw the ball. Pointless to simply hand the ball off every down.

What is the deal with Santana Hopper?
Seldom mentioned but supposedly a major recruiting coup for us.

Only a recruiting coup because some services had him as a 4 star. He actually wasn't at the top of our board for his position.

I think he’s probably really good, but possible that some of his hype comes from his pedigree. Think he has several brothers or cousins at big time P5 programs.

It’s an adjustment from the high school game to college. It takes some people longer than others. He’s eight weeks into his 1st year. He will be fine.

#14 is the real deal. Gotta keep him out of the portal.

That's the chance you take and the hell of not playing guys that can contribute and the portal. Burger would be a nice change of pace now-occasionally because he is a dual threat, something we lack and it gives opposing defenses an advantage. Chase looks off the target the last few weeks, but Burger probably isn't close to passing us to a win yet. Roberts is a natural with balance, vision, shiftiness, and speed can be special in time, he can contribute as long as he doesn't have to pass block, but so can 5 more experienced guys ahead of him. I'd like to see him get some carries in 2 of our remaining conference games just to see what he can do.

It was great to see Burger get out in the open on the run. It’s what our offense has always needed.

Wasn't Chase 17/23 which is over 70% completion rate? One of those was right in 6 hands. The one I thought he missed was the over throw to the TE.

Yes. He was pretty accurate yesterday. To me he felt off, but I think that was due to some of his throws being badly off. That’s why you can’t always trust your eyes.

This.
I’ve seen enough in his 2 appearances already. Yes it was against far inferior teams and in mop up duty, but this kid is SPECIAL. He’s going to be a stud. He runs hard, with vision, and if you haven’t paid attention watch some of his cut-backs. Wow. His lateral movement is something special.
GO APPS!!

I can't wait to see him behind the first team offensive linemen for meaningful series.
Side note. How disruptive would it be to draw up a few RPO plays for Burger to run in the next couple of games? He would not strictly run the ball as he obviously can spin it. I really think our coaches are hesitant to rock the boat by inserting younger guys even if they might be better.
