I just don't get the hubbub - I've been to our games in Statesboro at least 6 or 7 times and never had even the slightest hint of a real incident. Yeah, we've been cussed at (mostly walking along Frat row while passing on the street) and we've had a smart-ass exchange or two inside the stadium while in the concession line or in the restroom, maybe a shout in the stands here or there, but really never a big deal. Never felt actually threatened at any point. Never felt a need to chalk it up to anything more than well, Hate Week. I just don't get it. That having been said, we have always made a weekend out of it and stayed in HHI or Savannah and so we've only spend maybe 5 hours actually in Statesboro. Anyways, as for parking: we've always parked in a large tree-lined lot right beside the GSU Performing Arts Center and Conference Center. Nice, big, newer building. Well lit lot...completely safe feeling. Always lots of fellow Black & Gold in the lot and even enough friendly Southern fans. Enjoy it - going to miss it this go-round.

Tell the police officers that stand between the App State fans and the student section hello for me. It is Thanksgiving weekend, maybe most of the a$$hole students wont be there.

I bought a parking pass from GSU online but you can call too. Just look up game day parking. I got one near the rec building and was told there is a shuttle. Then I quickly unsubscribed from all stink emails and took a shower.

Things got much better for us App Fans in Paulson when they added the upper deck in 2014 and put the visitor section up there. Before that, we were right beside the student section. Personally I enjoy going to this game and I never miss. Their fans know there is a football game going on and are not apathetic like some places we go. Plus it is super sweet when we get the win. They have some turds just like every fanbase (including ours) but I've never felt in danger and I just prepare myself to hear alot of F***App State. I was surprised this year at Coastal. Their students are working hard to stoop to what we used to experience in the FCS days in Statesboro. Go App!

The lower section is still beside the student section. I would make a seat in the upper deck for sure.
