Matt Greenhalgh - S&C Director

Unread post by T-Dog » Thu Dec 08, 2022 7:47 pm

Was the assistant S&C coach during the Iron Mike years until Lunsford hired him at GaSo. Was at VT this past year.

I know this isn't the first time since he left that App tried to get him back.

I’m glad to get him! I was a bit worried about who was being considered early based on rumors but pumped about this. He is well liked by all I know that dealt with him. I expect big things from Matt!

Tremendous hire! To this day, I would love to hear some of the Iron Mike stories from time at App and Louisville. Must have been wild.

There was the time he full-on tackled Mark Ivey on the field after a win and wrestled him for a legit minute. Got a four-point near fall out of it but couldn't get the pin.

There are stories I could tell that would get me in hot water with certain people. But they all revolved around Mike having a short fuse.

Ha, I mean that is wild....but was it in all good fun since it was after a win? Did Ivey take offense to it?

Yeah, can't always have that fuse going off for sure.

Has Strength and Conditioning Director, (Matt Greenhalgh) hired any of his assistants? Move-in day is fast approaching.

I think 1st day of classes is the 17th. So transfers still have about 12 days b before they are "official" or if they already sign their grant package.

Yes first day of classes is day after MLK, so the 17th. I'm already not looking forward to it.
