So frustrating - Im not sure if it's about being successful anymore. It's more that they can't be very competitive in salaries.

Barbay and others were hired with the reduced budget. Even IF we increased it, it is too late because now we are years behind after staying stagnant and reducing the budget constantly. This admin needs to look in the mirror and asks themselves if they want 30K people showing up to their school on gamedays or if they are satisfied with being a backsliding once was in the world of college football.

If this were a peer to peer poaching of our OC, I could see the concern. However, we're not winning the salary pool fight with an SEC team. It's frustrating, however, that's always a losing battle.

Barbay likely tripled his salary today. There is nothing that our administration could do to compete with that.

Six offensive coordinators in six years. An eight-week search for a defensive coordinator. Spring practice apparently begins soon. And one of the highest minimum ticket prices in all the G5 coming off a 6-6 season.

Or was it that his coaching hands were tied? The season started out with a lot of promise, new coach and then the backslide. Something drastic changed and not for the good of the program. We all knew this was coming. The only surprise is that it didn't happen in December.
