Roll Neers…wtf

I’m too old and cranky to research on my own but can someone tell me why “Roll Neers” is used when obviously its synonymous with Alabama?!
What’s next “Weagle, Weagle Neers” ….”Woo Pig Sooie Neers” “Hook Em Neers” ???
It’s rainy and I’m bored so just pondering life and this question came to mind…

Why did everyone have shirts that said "We Are XXXX XXXXX" after all the mess with and that being iconic with Penn State?

I blame not creative marketing "experts" and Nike et al for trying to make iconic sayings common so they can print generic shirts.

Don't use it, but I'm glad a larger portion of graduates from that generation put App first than mine. At least they are engaged unlike many from my era.

I agree, no cheer is a bad cheer, but am I the only "Give 'em Hell Apps" left? That's what I was raised on and it's unique
to App as far as I can tell.

I recall "Go 'neers" from the old National Championship games in the Dirty nooga. That one has some tradition. Roll 'neers is just bad.

Not a "Roll Neers" or "Go Neers" fans...Hate the term "Neers".... and, if I could, would abolish it...since I cannot....and it gets people to be loud at games. so those fans "do what you do"
Of the ideas on this thread or the other thread, like War Damn Yosef the best... however, we did not think of it first..so not gonna do it.
For the term, "Give em.Hell Apps"..like it when yelling at players coming on the field, or maybe in a game setting etc. But, if I am walking down the street, I am.probably not going to say it to someone walking down the street on a normal day...War Damn Yosef...I would say walking down the street and see another App fan as more of a slogan....if it was original to us....we need something like that for a slogan..two to three words..
Someone needs to get AI on it and spit out numerous choices to choose..

I've always said if Auburn won 5 national titles in a decade, then it would be War Damn Neers.

As an old, I learned a while ago that telling the perpetually young adults of App State how to cheer just doesn't work, unless you have a $3 million videoboard. It has to build from within. And that has built from within, for better or worse.

Just hope they keep it up from January through May rather than put on a shade of blue.

It's just dreadful. Seems like it was sort of a thing when I was a freshman in 1980, but we quashed it and it was dead and gone until recently. It would be interesting to know how they dug this up from the dead.
