Here's a nice article from this week's DAVIE COUNTY ENTERPRISE RECORD (Mocksville, NC) about Appalachian's own Adam Witten and how he got his start in broadcasting football games on the radio. Just thought fans of our terrific radio announcers would be interested.

Let's hold on to this guy and not over work him like we did David Jackson. FWIW, we've always had good announcers going all the way back to Bob White and prior.

Witten is very professional and does an excellent job. In my opinion, he is now the best we have ever had. Jackson and Brown were good but a bit too "homespun" for me. Again, just my opinion.
The guy who does the radio call for basketball is good too.
