Except App State Tailgate was very confused as to why his logo was used in the announcement. He had nothing to do with it.AppKing21 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 7:28 amI think most people upset right now are only upset for one reason. They think "App State Tailgate" isn't a fan account, but rather an official part of the University. I'd wait to see if the athletic department makes a statement regarding tailgating, then grab pitchforks.

And, to be fair, I designed said logo, so I'm also confused as to why the University/Campus Activities stole it from Twitter and ran with it.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 8:17 amExcept App State Tailgate was very confused as to why his logo was used in the announcement. It’s a no-win situation.

I doubt the attentivity of the image, no official message would have the snark with the smaller text. The logo used would also be the Campus Activities logo or Student Development.

I wouldn't do that, chances are better that they would C&D you for using the official typeset and colors.BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 8:50 amSend them a cease and desist letter, chat gpt should be able to craft it for you for free8993 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 8:26 amAnd, to be fair, I designed said logo, so I'm also confused as to why the University/Campus Activities stole it from Twitter and ran with it.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 8:17 amExcept App State Tailgate was very confused as to why his logo was used in the announcement. They seem to be doing a much better job than a few years ago.appdaze wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 11:51 amFollow this account for those that want to hear about more events. Where is the group for those of us who graduated from App back when we had to do our work on bear skins and stone tablets?

Just check Hardees or Bojangles about 6am. Then hit up a J&S cafeteria around 3:30 pm.

Yeah, on the food service I was talking about the big donors or for that matter offering it to anyone who would pay for it. Not suggesting that the set up and food would be free. It would have to be paid for.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 7:51 amNice idea with the exception of providing food and beverages. Offering the spot is fine, but funding their good time isn’t feasible.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 7:48 amWow, we agree again. I had previously thought the Yosef club should use this as a premium tailgate spot for high paying donors. Something that would be set up for the folks with food and beverages supplied. Just walk up and start the party. But now I think it should be a student tailgate spot.

Re: No tailgate spots for students this season
I actually think this is the best spot as nearest to stadium....with that said, the issue is (from a student perspective) is that I am being monitored more by campus security than if I am in Raley or somewhere else...not sure if that is reality..but may be perspective of some students.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 2:15 pmYeah, on the food service I was talking about the big donors or for that matter offering it to anyone who would pay for it.
