UNC Parking?
Anyone have suggestions for parking for the Carolina game? Would like to go ahead and get a pass and would like one suitable for tailgating.

We used an app a few weeks ago and most lots were either full or limited. http://app.parkmobile.io/

Re: UNC Parking?
We parked in a lot down the hill from the Smith Center the last time App played there. There were plenty of spaces and it was pretty much all Mountaineers. I THINK it was the MANNING LOT. It was a little bit of a walk to Kenan Stadium but nothing some hearty Mountaineers can’t handle

Re: UNC Parking?
I bought a pass via Craigslist for Boshamer lot for the 2019 game at UNC. Was a great tailgate lot for my large AppState crew. Close to the stadium too. When I arrived there were already Apps tailgating there. Almost no Heels tailgated there - they all showed up just before game time haha. I haven’t even looked into parking for this season’s game, but that could be an option, though Rams club donors have probably smartened up since then - is that possible? Anyway that’s my 2 cents. Buying via CL may be outdated now..?

Re: UNC Parking?
There are also a couple of park & ride lots. Tailgating options are limited but not out of the question. One lot coming in from Graham/I-40 exit is very convenient if heading west after the game.

Re: UNC Parking?
I don't know a whole lot about Chapel Hell, but I do know we parked in a park and rode lot on or near campus and paid a small fee ($3 maybe) for a round trip shuttle in 2019. I can't remember exactly what lot (will text some others I was with to see if they remember), but it was easy.
Getting out was a little more difficult, but nothing some Cornhole and more beverages to celebrate the W can't fix (assuming you have a driver of course!).

Re: UNC Parking?
Friday Center is the easiest if you don't want to pay $$$ for a parking pass. Park for free, then pay per person to bus in ($5 unless they've raised prices).
Just allow more time than you think for the ride, because the bus can get delayed by traffic like everyone else.

I was in a brewery in Wyoming this weekend and struck up a conversation with an older local guy, told him I was from NC. He said he had a brother in Chapel Hill, then said "I think that's in North Carolina, isn't it?" I paid for his beer.

Re: UNC Parking?
We parked in the Cardinal Deck for the Chelsea v Wrexham soccer game a few weeks back. Super close walk. $40 if i remember correctly. HOWEVER, afterwards we did not move for over an hour. The entire deck was stuck. No clue how the surrounding roads were or if the proper traffic workers just weren’t doing their job. But definitely considering a little bit further walk to/from Kenan just to avoid the absolute mayhem in and around those parking decks.

Just purchased my space in South Chiller lot on Park Mobile ($23.40). The site went live for UNC football games this am.Appst86 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 8:10 amGeneral Public Parking and Pre-Paid Parking Begins Aug. 14 per the below web page.
