Seatbacks available for the season

I wonder how many they made available. At $45 a seat, that’s a pretty nice bump in revenue for the athletic department.

No clue. Thinking they probably underestimated the demand...or thinking about it another way...did not order many as did not want excess.
Hindsight being 20/20 vision...things like this should be offered in June/July on a pre-order basis....so you know how many to buy based upon demand... simple financial planning

My conclusion is that the idea of "seat encroachment is real!!

I believe I saw that these seatbacks were actually being provided by a 3rd party provider. So, I assume, we've contracted with them (Amplify Seating perhaps?) and in turn they provide everything (not sure about actual placement on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings) and the athletics departments gets a cut with no overhead. If this is indeed the case, and your business is this, one would think you could get more created ASAP if demand warranted...because obviously the market is there.

The seats are provided by Learfield IMG College Seating. I believe they are installed and left in place for the entire season.

Gotcha. I see that now...looks like Amplify is the sidearm Learfield has created for "experience enhancements" at stadiums. I assume these are what we are receiving but since we aren't listed I'm guessing we were a late add to the program, being somewhat local to W-S and all. Perhaps that explains why we had what appears to be such a limited allotment of available seatbacks.

Athletic dept. sent out an email yesterday promoting these. $45 for the season. Well worth it not to have to drag one around and keeps your seat saved. Can order by phone 866.910.9288.

Not anymore. No longer available: SOLD OUT... Just called this morning, no longer accepting orders for the seats.

Thank goodness. I recall going to early season games in Athens as a kid and the seat butts were those plastic cushions. They baked in the September sun the day before the game and boy talk about being "hot hot hot"! Ouch!!

I sat at a Wake Forest game last season in a similar one, maybe the same company. They are narrow and very uncomfortable and take up space in other people seat area as well. NOT A FAN. Will be interested to hear others thoughts after a game or two. They also give you less space for leg room due to the configuration.
