Minor helmet change this season

The nose bumper has the NASCAR-style APPSTATe instead of the black Block A, a change after 10 seasons.

That's a good catch, I would have never picked up that change.

I'm actually a fan. I really like the "NASCAR style" APPSTATE wordmark and the Block A, has plenty of helmet and uniform placements. Using the APPSTATE branding on the bumper fills the space well and allows us to use another one of our growing, maybe fastest growing, brand marks (save Roll Neers' - just kidding - ha!). I've honestly been kind of curious as to why we haven't seen a helmet featuring the wordmark in a larger, more side of helmet capacity, as a one-off.

They’ve used the APPSTATE on the back bumper for a couple of years now. I like it on the front face plate as well.

Yea, I just searched Word fonts, arial, times new roman ..did not see NASCAR font

Don’t think the logo looks anything like the NASCAR font. NASCAR font is much more blocky. I do think the font is similar to Subways though.

I don’t mind the change. Logic seems to dictate that the APPSTATE logo gives random people more context as to what the logo represents more so than just a block A. It seems like this has been a conscious decision by the marketing team over the last couple years.

Agreed...up in DC area, when I wear a black T-shirt or golf shirt we with just block A, I have gotten the occasional "thank you for your service (for army which i have not been) or a navy vet will say Best Army. I laugh and tell them it is a different A...

I used an App on my phone called “WhatTheFont”. You scan the text and tells you what it is.

I use Futura Bold CT (can’t remember the subset without looking at computer) then add a 10° slant to recreate this font for signs I do for App.
