Last year, we hung out for a couple. One had Adam Church (the guy who played a song during Combs concert at KBS). He was pretty good. They had another band with female lead... cannot remember the band name. They were pretty good as well.
Not sure who is on tap this year.

According to the 2023 FAN GUIDE on the website...
"No outside food or drink is accepted into Kidd Brewer Stadium."
No mention of allowing an unopened bottle of water this year so I guess that is a no-no now.

I appreciated being able to bring in my own water...just like we can at NFL stadiums.

Has anyone heard if they WILL allow a bottle of water and just failed to mention it in this year's guide?

Looks like the guide specifies no water bottles under the statement of No outside food and beverage into stadium πŸ˜”

According to DG on nothing but an app state podcast, WI-FI now in stadium in addition to game day apparel, the same as the coaches wear that game. Also added metal detectors, which according to the ticket office, you can’t bring in a pocket knife, so plan accordingly and leave in the car or you may have to give it up

$5 for a bottled water is just greedy. The Falcons charge $2 while the Panthers allow two 16oz water bottles in per person.

I noticed the A-Z Game Day Info made a point to mention there are water fountains in the stadium. So, bringing in empty bottles is an option. I can only imagine how many half-liter bottles of clear alcohol have been brought in since they've been allowing water bottles.

I don't know if this will apply to games, but that is how they managed the crowd during Fan Fest. We had to walk through the new metal detectors. We had to pour our any beverages, (my Chick Fil A cup and my son's water bottle). However, we were told we could refill the water bottle in the stadium (and that we could bring in empty ones).
I didn't check it out to see if it was a water fountain or a refilling station.
I will probably test it our on Saturday with an empty plastic water bottle.

Hate the pocket knife thing, was afraid that would be the case, even though it wasn't mentioned in the A-Z document.

If the water fountains are the same ones as before, they're not that cold and not great for holding a bottle under.

Alcohol has and always been snuck into the stadium. Water bottle policies won't change it. Plus, there's no moral high ground here at App State brings in six figures from stadium alcohol sales per year.

I wasn't trying to set a moral high ground. I do my drinking at the tailgate and rarely buy anything in the stadium. I am well aware that alcohol has been snuck in the stadium for ages. It is spilled on me and my wife almost every game with nary an apology. A water bottle full of white liquor is an awful lot.

How long does a bottle of water brought in stay cold? I was simply stating an alternative if someone is need of hydration. I agree that $5 per bottle, of any non-alcoholic beverage, is outrageous. So are all the prices, which is why I wait until I return to my vehicle for refreshment. To each their own.

Hopefully they have installed filling stations. I agree with T-Dog that the fountains have not been conducive to filling water bottles.

We would have to have a 200 million athletic endowment to be greedy. I suggest we are just trying to pay the power bill…..

It’s my understanding App pulled a β€œWofford” yesterday on the east side. Not sure if this was an issue on the west side. Apparently a woman received a police escort out of the stadium for getting belligerent over the water fountains being turned off after the concessions sold out of water. Sad and inexcusable if this is true.

Charge whatever the market will allow for your goods but you better have a contingency plan, like turning the damn fountains on, if your inventory gets sold out. Not many people will find it fan friendly having to drink bathroom sink water because leadership lacks the foresight to anticipate such problems.

Do the metal detectors even work? My metal wallet did not set it off.

Our group walked right in the stadium and no one scanned our tickets.
