It's been a fun rivalry and clearly a worthy game to see annually. That's why we need to scrap this semi-pro CFB plan and just do regional conferences. Get back to the roots of college football

I find it crappy that in one breath Brown urged NCSU and ECU to play App and in the next breath is glad he doesn't play us again.

Carolina will not play us again for 15 years if ever. Mack Brown is a joke. Carolina will sign us up again if and only if ticket sells drop and they need to fill seats.
I could see ESPN putting us in a bowl game one day against UNC. With ESPN and the ACC trying to save costs for teams and make interesting match ups. UNC will need to finish 7th in the conference and us 2 in our conference and both be in the bowl coalition pool.

I'm fully convinced they'll never schedule us again. They got extremely lucky to get 2 out of 3 games in this series and they know it even if they wont admit it. We're not gonna get the NC government to force them to play is like ECU did.

Yeah, Mack’s “our guys have everything to lose and their guys have nothing to lose,” is the same bs as the “Super Bowl” comments.
Maybe with all those blue chips they land UNC football should stop being nothing more than a welfare leach of UNC basketball.

I generally like Mack but that was a useless comment. No reason for the main NC schools not to regularly play each other.

Mack was a condescending boar with statement; way below my expectations of him. BTW, the Carolina DB DID interfere with Davis. The next play should have been a 1st down for us.

In the context of the way the game had been called to that point, it absolutely was PI and should've been called.

I think it sucks that he doesn't want to schedule us, too, but it sounds like the line about encouraging State and ECU to play us was a joke. As in, "I've had enough, let someone else deal with them."

I took it as a joke, he doesn’t want to play us again because we are a hard ass team to beat and joked that he wants State and ECU to have to play us and then experience what he’s had to endure.

Correct. I’m no Carolina fan but I don’t get the Mack hate here. He played us 3x and has always been nothing but complimentary of our program and his love of the high country.
UNC playing App annually would be the equivalent of us scheduling JMU every season when they were still FCS. Very high risk with virtually no reward. I get it.

Speaking of NC State, if we continue our upward trajectory and they continue to dump the bed, I think we may get Doeren fired next year.
