With due respect, I disagree. Miller Hill has a nostalgic aspect but the reality is that it is now overflow seating for every game. The view is offers if just bodies crammed together on a hill. There is a safety issue and we simply cannot continue charging premium prices to sit on wet grass. If we had unlimited resources and spaces, sure ....expand the other options and keep the hill. The hill is the obvious option for expanding our legit seats.

No intent to disrespect the opinion you offer. I just think it will be necessary and logical to expand that option.
I prefer this planned logical expansion instead. I would also give our students both lower levels on east and west side. 12k seats (6k on each side). https://www.yosefscabin.com/forum/viewt ... 0&start=20

I recall these concepts being floated around and they look great but help me understand where the added seats are located. Is this concept adding a lower student section on the visitor side?
No. They’re saying give Students BOTH east and west 120 yards of sidelines. Concessions and concourse traffic would be appsolutely nuts and would never happen. We’re probably the only school that gives students 120 yards of sideline to begin with.
So basically no regular seating is added and the hill is reserved as it used to be? Seems like an odd idea.
Suites are being added as well as loge seats.

Hill is general admission seating. Same as student section.

I hope we never put students behind the visitors bench, recipe for trouble or embarrassment.

Seriously though...as much as i love Miller Hill I worry about a crush of people against the brick wall.....I'd remove the wall and replace with a collapsable fence...

Amen! Ideally they would scrape and redo the 2nd deck East Side with concrete and better spaced columns. Half of the problem in the East side concourse are the steps, handicap ramps, and column spacing of the 2nd deck. It would be cool for the 2nd deck to have it's own gate access entry off of Stadium Drive that is essentially a flat ramp to the East side tower. And have 3-4 internal staircases in the tower that provide the 2nd deck access to shoot down to the east side concourse. That would alleviate a ton of traffic on the concourse.

May have missed it in a prior comment but when is construction supposed to begin on the east tower? Are they also working on the construction of building between the east stands/tower and the north end zone?

lol, sometimes some of our "older" fans sitting/standing behind the opposing bench can get a little testy....

Figure if other schools are doing it when we play them, might as well use against them.

I believe the idea is some/most/all of the NEZ donors move to this new East side tower, or at a minimum the field level premium area moves, and that allows for the permanent installation of NEZ end zone seating.

I could be wrong.

We need more Miller Hills in sports. What it's all about.
Agree. Preserve Miller Hill (grass and trees) in the South End Zone at all cost. It's what makes KBS picturesque, unique and a bucket list stadium for all college football fans.

Let’s start with I have no research to support my assumption but I’ll bet a lot of those folks on Miller Hill don’t want a seat. They want to be on the hill.
Agree. And we have the NEZ to put bleachers/seats/suites....night and day how much better the NEZ looks with having those extra seast underneath.
I’ll have to say that I had a fantastic time this past Saturday on the bleachers at the NEZ. Some really fun ECU fans, really close to the concessions underneath, and I felt I was going to catch that TD if I just reached a little further.

Love how good the stadium looked on tv last week. Just a few thoughts:

- Make seats permanent under the NEZ, it just looks better.
- keep Miller hill as is for now, focus on the east side.
- If we are going to build on the east side, the stands themselves need to be redone, especially the upper deck. If we’re gonna spend that money, let’s do it right.

From a construction/time aspect if, the day after the season ends they made some of the recommended changes to the east side could they be completed for next season? Could they fill in the corners, add a deck, widen the concourse, etc? Overall what is the number one doable add that can be done in 8-9 months? We played while the NEZ was being completed. Also doesn't the team utilize that area below the NEZ overhang? We obviously have shown that for at least half of our home games those seats are needed. Does leaving them there cause issues for the team?

That is unfortunate, it is great entry point for fans coming down stadium drive and those seated in upper East deck.

One thing they could do on East is invest in the grab and go stations. 2 single stall restrooms and a police room that never get used on that side could be a starting point.
